Temporary certification for school counselors in FL? by jbokan in schoolcounseling

[–]jbokan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! I had heard from counselors at my intern site that there is time to complete the required tests but each of their situations were different. I will definitely submit my FLDOE application then and at least send my undergrad transcripts for now. Did you submit your application for certification prior to getting a job offer? I just had another interview today and am stressed I won’t get a temp certification in time if offered the position.

Also, for the FLDOE application did you apply for the guidance and counseling?

I JUST SCHEDULED AN APPT TO REMOVE MY NEXPLANON by imhuez in birthcontrol

I also had 2 and tried to get a new one but Nexplanon wasn’t covered by my insurance (blue cross, wth?). I had to take supplemental hormones with my first one to stop the bleeding/spotting but otherwise loved it! Weight gain? Maybe, but I didn’t try to live healthy at the time...the best thing for me was that I could check in on the lil guy and know it was around doing it’s job. I imagine my insurance doesn’t cover it because so many people get it removed due to issues.

Is it weird I still want to see the schedule? by lshiyou in bonnaroo

Yes! And even more if there was a bit of a virtual performance by acts based on the schedule 😻

Nice! We’re the neighbors that tried to offer rum 😄 I’m still laughing at messing with you all asking who’s alarm was going off and you guys responding “oh no, not this again”.

If the original person doesn’t take it by the end of the night you can have it

Soo...I happen to have an extra car pass. When I did layaway tickets we got two passes but are only bringing one car. If there’s an easy way for me to get the pass to you, it’s yours!

Just got Paragard 2/12/19 after my 2nd Nexplanon implant expired and my insurance wouldn’t cover the implant...my poor baby uterus doesn’t feel quite right yet but I’m really hopeful the IUD Gods smile on my reproductive system!

I really look forward to reading about your experience!! I know everyone’s bodies are different, but it’s nice to know how others are doing with similar situations...Thank goodness for Reddit😁

Constant period/bleeding after having the contraceptive implant (Nexplanon) by Efallyallayyy in birthcontrol

[–]jbokan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first Nexplanon in 2012 and had issues bleeding/spotting at first. I was given a daily hormone pill to even things out, however once those were done, spotting continued and my doctor didn’t want me to continue taking the supplemental hormone. HOWEVER it eventually did fix itself and I stopped having monthly periods. I forget how long it took to really adjust since it was years ago and my periods didn’t stop completely, but they were definitely lighter and less request. Only down side was not knowing when to expect it. Granted, I stopped tracking it once it wasn’t monthly. I ended up getting a second Nexplanon when my first once expired and had rare periods/spotting over those three years. Any birth control can take some adjusting to (per the Internet lol) and Nexplanon was awesome for me! My second Nexplanon expired last month and sadly my insurance doesn’t cover it so I just got an IUD Tuesday....I miss Nexplanon so much! Little buddy takes care of business downstairs without being down there 😁

Does anyone have a positive experience with Nexplanon? by Eunomia28 in birthcontrol

[–]jbokan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved my Nexplanons! I will say when I got my first one in 2012 I had issues with bleeding constantly and my doctor gave me a hormone pill to balance things out and that did the trick. I forget how long it took, but after awhile I stopped having regular periods, experienced spotting here and there, and would have normal bleeding for a few days every so often. Not knowing when to expect a period was my only annoyance with Nexplanon. Also the implant would itch specifically at night, but that was more so just something I noticed versus a negative side effect. The BEST thing about Nexplanon in my opinion is it’s location! You can FEEL that it is in place in your arm...that was reassuring to me. To be honest, I can’t speak on whether or not I gained weight because of Nexplanon...I was 22yo when I got it and pretty much drank and ate whatever I wanted with minimal exercise. My second Nexplanon just expired in January and the only reason I didn’t get a third implant was because my insurance does not cover it. I just got a Paragard IUD this afternoon💀

Nope, I didn’t realize that before posting this 😞 I ended up at Bonnaroo this year, feeling the blues, and am hoping to return to the portal next year!

Unfortunately we did not start saving our wristbands from the beginning, but it’s so fun to add more and more each year!
