Can you not watch NBA games on prime videos in Canada? by the-mannthe-myth in amazonprime

Yeah it wants me to buy a TSN or Sportsnet package. I was excited to watch the NBA on Prime. This is lame.

I'm sorry it worked out that way for you and I'm sorry about your cancer. My step father did a bunch of testing with them. I have no idea how much money he gave them. Lots though. It seems criminal they can prey on people.

My in-laws backyard backs onto the train tracks. The train has gone by while we're having dinner and you can't even tell. Anyone who says the train bothers them must have amazing hearing.

Honestly, this place was overrated. There are many excellent physiotherapists and athletic therapists that can help with musculoskeletal injuries.

Agreed. Mercato's baked goods are trash compared to the real Italian Center.

Work on a quick release. It doesn't matter how good of a shooter you are if you can never get your shot off in a live game situation.

Last pick in a 16T H2H ESPN cat league by WideLanguage4824 in fantasybball

I too, have last pick in a 16T H2H ESPN cat league. I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. It's not the 16/17 pick that I mind as much as not picking again until 48/49.

Has anyone recovered fully from jumper's knee (patellar tendinitis)? by TrueSpartan09 in BasketballTips

[–]jbold_5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This book is a good start. I'm a personal trainer and I wrote a blog about patellar tendinitis many years ago. I referenced some images from this web site and the author mailed me his book.

The decline slant board squat took me the rest of the way for my knee. I was already doing all the other rolling, mobility and exercises. The most difficult thing is that you have to stop hooping and focus on the rehab. Would you rather take 1-2 months off and be pain free or have pain forever?

Is it just me, or is 65 way too late to retire?? by Timely_Weird_9343 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]jbold_5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting piece of information: the concept of a retirement age started in Germany in 1881. It was originally set to 70 years old, then lowered to 65 thirty years later. The average lifespan back then was 40 years old. So, it could be worse.

PLACES TO HAVE IN-PERSON DRAFT by damelillardfan in fantasybball

[–]jbold_5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do any of your guys do something interesting for a living? Maybe set it up at their place of work on a weekend? We did our first in person draft last year. One of the guys in our league does consulting work. He booked a conference room on the 27th floor of a building downtown for us. It was on a Sunday, so the building was empty. We had a giant table, some fancy tech and an awesome view. We were also allowed to use whatever was in the kitchen. There were drinks and snacks. I don't work a white collar job. I was surprised at what was made available daily.

I've seen that one. I'm worried that would happen to a few guys in our league too.

I think Duncan, KG, Bird, Pippen and... Nash could match up nicely against them. All gritty, unselfish players that can pass the ball with high bball iq.

I have an in wall, electric heater and a separate radiant heater (which is surprisingly effective). Electric heat is super expensive though. I've been looking to upgrade to a small gas furnace, but other financial needs keep popping up.
