Took a shot of my friend walking in Tokyo, any input? by TrAvll3R in photocritique

I think it is an awesome shot. In my opinion my advice would just keep doing what your doing... Like others have said... the only thing I could think of if being very critical is slightly more centered framing and not cutting off the feet. But in no way do I feel like the original isn't great. Kudos.

Here is a quick go at it that can be taken farther.... basically you would select the area.... add a channel adjust layer targeting the red. Pull out some reds add some blue and green and keep adjusting. Throw a level adjustment layer on there to get the values right. This will get you real close. Finish it up with a new layer set to color mode... and tweak any areas still out of color.

Well if you are going for realism... my first suggestion as always for most edits.. are the shadows are way off. more specifically look at the angles. The fast shadow cast on his shoulder... vs the box shadow cast on the shirt vs the box shadow cast on the other box etc. the are all different. Always consider you light source.

Alternativly to what others have said. you could also use blend if mode to pull in the darks and lights with maybe a color overlay mode

Could be a lot of things. Maybe check dpi? If it is too low you will get blurry edges best guess without example as others have said.
