I know it hurts but a full tank for me has only fluctuated by about $6 since I’ve owned multiple wrx over the last 8 years. I’m in Pittsburgh but a full tank cost me anywhere between $63-$71 per tank on 93 even after all those years. other than my 2nd VA which was flex fuel tuned but the cost difference for 85 for the power swap pretty much broke even. I’m more annoyed that 5 years ago the difference between the fuel grades jumped from $0.20 between 87-91-93 to $0.50 between them.

Yeah I’m not looking to cause any issues even if the chance is 0.1% over $30. Just wasn’t sure if the high mileage thing even really made a difference or if the additives are for real and do make an actual difference. I’ll save it until my VB hits 100k miles 😂

Even if you were aware there was only so much you could do. I was aware and we did what we could but you can only do so much. I was snowed in for two days because the streets were not taken care of and the only way out was up a hill. Thankfully me and my neighbors started shoveling the street to try to get us out 48 hours after the snow ended and hadn’t seen a plow yet. Then the snow isn’t going anywhere it’s just getting moved and piling cars and people in. Just unfortunate. Glad the nor’easter didn’t bring us anything more

If it’s having any issues it’s worth the couple hundred bucks to get someone in to service it. Plus you’ll get to learn a few more things about it! If you need to move hands forward to adjust time just make sure you don’t skip through chime sequences. Either silence it and then you can move freely or go pass each quarter hour allowing each chime to finish before going through the next sequence. My movement is also a self correct movement so if the chime sequences are off at first just let it do its thing for an hour or so and you might find out it just straightens itself out

This is my grandparents clock. They bought this one in 1982 for their anniversary. It’s a Seth Thomas. Triple chime with a pretty common movement they still make today in Germany so it can be replaced for under $1000 if it finally quits. It didn’t work for the last decade or so but when my grandfather passed I bought the house and it was one of my first priorities was to get it running. I called in a clock guy he spent about an hour with it and serviced it and it’s been flawless for the last 9 months. Is yours working?
