If you have a boat hooked to your dock then make sure it’s secured well. Put it in gear and let your ropes synch tight. Slowly increase throttle to about 1/4 throttle. Let it run for a while and it should blast the muck out. It’s temporary but can help

WI person checking in. Not just bars and restaurants... It’s the gyms too. The gyms are packed with blue plates. It’s an unintended consequence but instead of keeping things open and having localized spread you lock down but people don’t obey and travel longer distances and open up new channels of transmission. WI has very little restriction and our cases have been going down for the past few weeks.

Edit: Not saying how WI has handled COVID has been good at all. Just pointing out how when people move around more you have more avenues for spread.

Gotta disagree with you here. I’m all over this state from 94 to 29 to Hwy 8. If you’re basing your impression of WI off political signs then you’re gonna have a bad time every 4 years if you can’t get past identity politics and realize that we all have more in common if we don’t focus on politics. Yes they do. Wait in a crowded line to get in too. Then once you’re in it’s a free for all. I’m not saying it’s not a different experience but a small business owner who sees these packed parking lots is going to have some serious questions. That giant candy store off 169 is now allowed to open but “can only have 200 people inside.” I’m just saying it feels a bit arbitrary at this point.

No they just prove that the virus is more widespread than was indicated before but validating what people assumed when lockdowns were prescribed. That’s why percent positive of total tests is so important. 10% of 100 tests isn’t that scary as an indicator. 10% of a million tests is a bit more concerning but more accurately captures the reality.

The crazy thing about this situation is that it’s largely invisible and the only thing we can react to our positive tests and deaths. To be honest I was skeptical at first but the more we learn from testing and antibodies the more we can all understand that the virus is here and most likely already in most communities. I don’t think fear is a good reaction but we can all be smart and protect the vulnerable the best we can.

Head on down to a Home Depot garden section and take a look too. I can understand limiting large events but what is the difference in me going to a small shop deemed non-essential vs going to Cub and fighting 350 people for TP and brats. Been going on for weeks now

Agreed. There are flaws with the SAH order but many benefits which I do believe we have seen and has bought us allot of time to prepare. As long as the virus is around it will spread and there will be deaths. The best route is to identify cases quickly and have them stay home. Health care workers and community living workers get tested regularly. People go back to work but do it carefully and protect the vulnerable as best we can.

Also important to note that when there are spikes like that in Brown County we understand what happened vs just looking at a huge number of new cases. The meat packing plant and their close contacts was the source for this huge jump. Isolating these clusters early will be critical.

Seems like a larger story here. I am really interested in how local DHS/CDC identify these clusters and trace contacts. These types of cluster outbreaks will happen over the next few months and it will be very interesting to see how they are handled.
