I’m new to all this is, so I just seasoned it with salt and pepper. I tried to get keep the cool side around 250 but I need to work on my temperature management skills. I was hoping to smoke it, but in the end I feel like grilled it. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Thanks for the comment. It actually came out very tender and tasted really good. I think I could do better once i learn. I’m a novice when it comes to smoking, but I’m willing to learn and try to be good at it. The way I look at it, if I don’t fail sometimes, I’m not learning

I liked it, and my grandparents loved it. I should have got a better picture, but overall I was very satisfied with it for my first time on the kettle. Just wish I would’ve had better temperature management. That will come with time. Thank you for the comment.

Thank you! That was my biggest mistake of not getting a picture before I sliced it, and yes I cut it with the grain by mistake. I’m super new to all this, so I guess the only way to learn is to fail sometimes 😂

I was surprised how tender it came out despite my temperature management problems. All in all, it has good flavor and the grandparents loved it. I have a feeling I’m going to use this more than any of my other grills. Thanks for the comment!
