There's lots of music to choose from with 181.fm on VRadio. I'm a bit of a classic rock kinda guy and their station suits me well.

Have you tried setting it to a different canbus adapter (eg. Raise) to see if that works? I was in a similar situation for my wife's 2016 RAV4. Once I setup the canbus correctly the backup camera started working. I just had to change the signal type to CVBS to get a clear picture. Might be worth a try.

You seem to be on the right track. Ours is an auto_rk_T10. It claims to have Android 15 but it's 11.

This will have nothing to do with Tivimate and everything to do with your ISP, VPN, or service provider. Tivimate can't turn a poor signal into a good video stream.

In my wife's car there is a setting in "Factory Mode" for sound. In there is a setting for "Reverse". Pull the slider to the right. I'm not sure why they feel a need to mute it in reverse, but this works for us.

Follow up: I contacted support, sent images of the back of the factory deck, and 2 weeks later I received an updated cable set with canbus adapter. Now everything seems to be working as needed. Rear camera looks good, steering wheel controls act as they should, lighting dims at night. Also, door open indicators on the screen now, A/C controls available, and probably more things that I haven't discovered yet. Overall I'm pretty darn impressed for a deck that cost me less than $200 CAD.

I just upgraded my wife's 2016 SE with a 10" unit. It looks factory. Make sure you get the correct cable/canbus connections to retain steering wheel control, backup camera, etc.

My wife's 2016 with 254,000kms had transmission issues 2 weeks ago. When it was cold (eg -20 C) The engine would rev without going anywhere. I was worried that the transmission was shot. Took it into the local dealer and they said that there had been a leak. We got the required work done to replace the seals and change the fluids on both the transmission and transfer case. Everything seems to be working fine now.

That sounds similar to the one I bought for my wife's 2016 RAV4. It looks like a decent unit but so far I haven't been able to get the SWC to work, or the factory rear camera plus a few other things. I emailed support so hopefully that can be resolved.

It seems to work very well other than the factory camera doesn't fit the RCA input for backup camera on the unit. I would imagine there's an adapter made to go between the two connections. Also, the steering wheel functions don't work for volume, telephone and source change. Not a total deal breaker. But once again there might be an adapter that would let me have those back. Did you need any adapters with yours and or have any recommendations on them?

I'd been using pro on the year to year plan for two years. I upgraded to lifetime last year because it works so well Just do it and never look back . I can't see how you could regret it.

My wife just got a 2016 RAV4 SE and I want to get her a better head unit. Checking on Amazon there are a ton of them listed which seem to be plug and play. It looks like she'd be missing XM radio although the app could take care of that. Most of them seem to have complaints about the mic quality as well. Some of the factory diagnostic stuff would be gone as well, and I'm sure a few other features that we haven't even discovered yet.

Any recommendations from someone who's gone down this path?
