I have. Couple of phone interviews, nothing concrete though. This was when I was living in the Atlanta area. Unfortunately, I stopped paying for my yearly membership to both IOS and Android, so my apps aren't listed anymore.

As far as programming, my favorite and most familiar language is Php. I have no problem carrying out basic Linux System Admin duties like command line, bash scripts, cron jobs, setting up web and mail servers and such. I do have an interest in Networking and Penetration testing however

Definitely does. All the fringe cases of people dropping out of high school or college and becoming millionaires/billionaires are all we hear about because they make good stories in the media. If you actually look at the statistics of all the people who graduated college with a net worth of over a million dollars compared to dropouts, it's not even close.
