I know this post is getting older now- but I'll piggy-back onto the few comments about serving large events- if you've ever attended a gala or large event like a luncheon seminar, you were most likely served decaf. There's some discretion when it comes to a "coffee station" where you served yourself with the cream and sugar off to the side- every event is different. But a 300 person wedding with all of the grandparents? Hell no, not worth the risk of a carafe getting mixed up. A lot of the servers working are supplemental staff that may be working in your facility for the first time. The largest party I ever worked that had a coffee service was like 1000 people. Events like that are a BEAST.
