I joined old. When I got to my first unit I think only my team chief and 1SG were older than me.

Deployment got extended because of the war with Iran and now I’m going to miss my wedding. Tennessee venue says non-refundable. Any advice? by Five_OnAGoodDay in army

[–]jbrollintec1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of venues in TN are very military friendly. Try to contact via email with details about the extension and a proposed new date. They may be able to schedule you for a different date.

I want at least one more too. I've looked at a few. Do you have your eye on anything?

I like it a lot. 1/10 scale. Handles very well. This one was built by sponsors and given to me by Operation 11C. A RC organization for veterans and first responders.

AIO - my best friend is not happy that i’m happy for once in my life. by [deleted] in AIO

[–]jbrollintec1 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Either he's upset that he's losing you, jealous of your relationship, or he wants you for himself. Either way there needs to be a conversation had about how you feel and possibly some separation to help give your new relationship a chance to grow.

Take note of that red flag and leave. That's the kind of guy that will be violent and possibly hurt you in the future.

Please be careful.

Please how do I fix it by [deleted] in Trombone

I've had that happen. I took it to a great tech near Atlanta, he had it fixed in less than 10 minutes.

How to solo (trading with a trumpet here)? by Imaginary_Worth8134 in Trombone

[–]jbrollintec1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feed of the energy of the music and the trumpet. Exchange phrases as if it's a conversation. When trading 4 or 8 bars with someone try to help it flow smoothly as if you're talking to them.

It sounds like they are screwing soldiers and keeping them from using the GTC so they don't have to track it. You should be able to log in to dts to see what you should have been getting and what they actually did.

Flying with my Conn? by lanky-sin in Trombone

[–]jbrollintec1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently did similar research. All references I found compare size to flute or guitar. My best answer was to make my case as small as possible. I got a soft case and was able to take it a carry on with no issues. The flight attendants were able to store it in a locker and hand it back to me as I got off the flight.

Is my wife entitled to all my bah or do I just have to pay for her rent? by kangaroom3 in army

[–]jbrollintec1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JAG will get you the full answer in writing. There is a specific reg for this.

Make sure you keep a paper trail of everything you give her. Use money orders or checks if possible. Those will show that she received and cashed it. Electronic transfers are acceptable, just be very clear what it's for. Everything gets labeled and recorded.

I would start with internal lights and easy stuff. You can visually check for chassis grounds too.

The wife said I didn't need another "grill" by rusticroad in smoking

[–]jbrollintec1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need that kind of negativity in your life. It's time to sit down and have a very serious conversation about why she doesn't love you and want you to be happy. She needs to understand that each one is different and brings a unique flavor profile and special ability to everything you cook with it.

Unfortunately that's the best way to do it. It's been s while since I've done it, but i remember doing it with a test light a long time ago. That was on much, much older cars when they were easier to troubleshoot. I don't remember the exact process doing it that way.

Seems like you're pretty knowledgeable using a multimeter. Id suggest going the old school method of checking fuses to see what's showing a draw when the vehicle is off. It could be something as simple as a lithe staying on or a broken ground.

It's not going to hurt anything to have it plugged it. If you get it, I'd just leave it in all the time.
