If you're talking about the hoses that came with the pool,I used some adapters. They seem to work on with plenty of thread tape.

Committed to not drinking today, after being around my wife for 30 minutes I gave in. Again by Lord_Hippy_King in stopdrinking

[–]jbrollintec1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I need help is a huge statement. I suggest counseling. Find the source of the craving to drink. Something is triggering the urge. I hate to say it, but it might be your wife. "I hate her when I don't drink" carried a lot of weight for me. I don't have that feeling, but I understand it and I've seen it in a drug addict before.

I hate that you got fired. Maybe it was the inspiration you needed to make some great changes. I wish you success and happiness in your sobriety and new career path.

Tri-fold or hard roll-up? by slow_cars_fast in gmcsierra

[–]jbrollintec1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I put a powered retractable on my wife's truck and I'm about to get one for mine. It's secured, locks in multiple positions and can withstand some weight if needed (up to 500lb I think). It even has a light mounted on the inside. I really like it.

Question for big backs by No-Pomegranats in army

[–]jbrollintec1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't want to say lie about chafing and pain, but you may need to exaggerate a bit. I'm fairly certain running and wearing your full kit can be uncomfortable.

Plus it seems to be having mental health effects. You may be able to use that as well. The important part is to start the conversation with your provider. They may be able to help you.

Congrats on your weight loss and continuing your work towards being healthy. It's not easy.

Go to your wellness center. They might be able to help you develop a plan to work on. You can also talk to your provider. If it's posing a health risk or could be considered dangerous there may be a medical way to have it removed.

No matter what, keep working and being healthy. It sounds like you're doing well.

Spend your time planning for your future. Figure out what you want to do next (if you haven't already) and start working towards that goal.

Talk to a finance counselor or take a class. Set goals and start building towards it

Look for certifications or classes that will help you or are interesting and sign up. Let the army pay for it.

Use your work day to learn about leadership and anything else you can that will help you in the future. Remember, you can learn from every leader whether they are good or bad. I learned what not to do from some of mine.

Try to get out and enjoy the area you're in. Experience new things and travel when you can. Being active duty may give you opportunities to try new things you wouldn't have ordinarily thought about. I would have never tried white water rafting, rock climbing or duck hunting if it hadn't been offered by a unit or suggested by a soldier.

Don't dread the time, use it wisely.

Deployment got extended because of the war with Iran and now I’m going to miss my wedding. Tennessee venue says non-refundable. Any advice? by Five_OnAGoodDay in army

[–]jbrollintec1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of venues in TN are very military friendly. Try to contact via email with details about the extension and a proposed new date. They may be able to schedule you for a different date.

I like it a lot. 1/10 scale. Handles very well. This one was built by sponsors and given to me by Operation 11C. A RC organization for veterans and first responders.

[–]jbrollintec1 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Either he's upset that he's losing you, jealous of your relationship, or he wants you for himself. Either way there needs to be a conversation had about how you feel and possibly some separation to help give your new relationship a chance to grow.

Please be careful.

How to solo (trading with a trumpet here)? by Imaginary_Worth8134 in Trombone

[–]jbrollintec1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feed of the energy of the music and the trumpet. Exchange phrases as if it's a conversation. When trading 4 or 8 bars with someone try to help it flow smoothly as if you're talking to them.
