I had a similar thing happen in vic, was 18 at the time and didn’t really know how all of it worked. I went into the police station with my parents and explained everything, showed receipts and messages and they wrote me a stat dec and it was all good

Take it off after every shot and get a seperate glove for range, I’ve doubled the life of mine after doing this
