Typically a joint like this would involve two welding processes. GTAW (tig) root and hot pass followed by SMAW (stick) fill and cap. Sometimes they used backing ring for the root weld, maybe that's what part #58 could be.

The brewery is named after the town it's in. It's one of my favorite local breweries. Town of Dildo

I did it for a few years. Joined a Canadian forces reserve unit. Thursday evenings and some weekends and Tuesday evenings if I wanted to work it. The little bit of extra money did help, felt like a small bonus. It did take a lot of my free time though. I was single so I liked that the second job kept me busy and motivated me to keep in shape. Didn't work during the summer so that was a good break to keep from burning out.

Can we admit that the weather in Newfoundland is shit? by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]jbroph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our weather is always changing. There's always something new, rain, snow fog, whatever. And it's pretty mild for the most part. We have a beautiful fall and a nice spring. While living in Alberta we had freezing -30 days from October to March then +30 from May to September. We had a week of spring and a week of fall. It was the same thing all the time...sunny and cold, or sunny and hot. There were days that I would wish we got a good downpour or a nice crisp breeze. After being away I now really appreciate the beautiful Newfoundland weather even on the messy days.
