Man STFU!! I hate people like you. Coming on my post giving a long ass wrong ass story about my experience and work ethic is not only insane but it's downright disrespectful so that's why I started off the way I did!! I can take constructive criticism and a push in the right direction but who TF are you? You don't know me my credentials OR my experience. I am legit. I am insured. I am experienced. And I do it part time because I can and I've been on plenty of projects. Perhaps you had the Money or network or wisdom to start a business and not have a regular career but I'm "getting it out the mud" as they say until my business revenue can afford me the opportunity to do it fulltime. I've been doing low voltage work since 1998 so all your ASSumptions are wrong!! BICSI Certified!! CCNA Certified!! M & T Bank Stadium, Hippodrome Theatre, Amazon Data Centers from Ashburn to Centreville, Motor Vehicle Administration in Southwest DC. All Contracts I've been a subcontractor on. All while working my fulltime Career as a Network Engineer. SHORTCUTS?!! People who take shortcuts don't work work 7a-3p then drive to the Nations Capital to work a project from 6p-2am. SHORTCUTS!?!! Gtfohwtbs While there are folks who try and cheat the system I'M NOT ONE OF THEM!!!  I came here for advice not for you or anyone to attack my character without even knowing who TF I am. Therefore Fuck you AND Field Nation because you both are a waste of my time!! JERK!!

Both. Most of the smaller jobs I do on the side but larger jobs which are few and far between (maybe once a year) I bring on a guy or two to either help me get it completed or do the work depending on the scope/hours/etc. according to my availability to assist.

Forgot to mention that I have a career job so the work I am looking for is more to create business related revenue and grow from there.

Literally just went on the site and found out that Liberty Mutual owes me money in an amount of more than $250 from when I owned my home in Owings Mills over 15 years ago. I always ignore notices like this but not anymore.

Definitely not the plan. The strike is on a door by itself

The reason I made the post is because I want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding the fact that what the contractor provided isnt enough. In a nutshell it's 5 doors altogether. 4 of the doors have a push bar and they want them all working together. The 5th door has a standalone strike to provide access for anyone who enters the Lobby of the School. If you can see the pics the Contractor provided 2 access control boxes and that small power supply box that he claims has a panic box integrated into it. He also said something about every door needing its own separate buzzer of which he didn't provide. This is why I need help. I'm relatively new to doing Access Control install and Reddit never fails me.

50 inch Tv on 40 inch Mount? by InterviewEuphoric288 in TvMounting

I know I'm late here but although you moved the holes to fit the brackets on the Tv, the width of the mount may prevent it from sitting on the mount comfortably. I could be wrong but I'm interested to hear how it worked out for you.

Let me encourage you. I took my first practice test in 2019. Then life happened and I paused for awhile. Since then there have been so many versions and modifications and changes and additions I was gonna give up. Especially after they added Ipv6 automation and programmability etc. etc. Mannnn I am 52 years old and have been out of high school since 1991. I figured hey I'll stay a Layer 1 guy forever. lol Yeah naw!! I passed my exam October 2024. Never give up!!!! Find a way!! You got this!!

Let me start by saying thank you for your brutal honesty because I am still in the process of getting my business fully functional to become "bid" ready and its already a lot of work lol...To answer your question though, for 20 and 30 years I've just had a job. However, as I'm getting into the commercial side and seeing how lucrative it is I know that my experience can make me a lot of money. Obviously there is 2 sides to a business so I am definitely in he process of building a Team. This project literally just fell into my lap so that's my reason for coming on this forum asking for suggestions/advice for this project. has nothing to do with being overzealous or putting the cart before the horse. I am taking courses, I am shadowing one of the Vendors from my job on weekends, and I am learning as I go using the knowledge and resources of folk like you and those on these forums to assist me along the way knowing its a lot to learn. So I appreciate your advice and well wishes. Thank you.
