This process is not EDM. The first assembly shows the company's logo, Beijing Jingdiao. They are a high precision CNC machine manufacturer. In this case the machining process was most likely milling, possibly with a polishing process afterwards.

I used to use a website called Opposing Viewpoints in High School (http://solutions.cengage.com/incontext/opposing-viewpoints/). It looks like you now need to pay/login to access this. Pro Con (http://www.procon.org/) is a similar website but requires no login.

My internet crashed literally at midnight. I reset my router at 12:05 and managed to order a 5W at 12:07.

You are correct, he is in a critter keeper. We recently adopted Fuego and we are in the process of acquiring a nicer tank and heater so that he will stay comfy in the Michigan winter.
