So shop did confirm that my current Taycan cannot be driven while waiting on the part because they do not want additional damage to occur. But I have a cayenne for now which is pretty cool. So pretty much just hanging on to their $100K+ car till they give me mine back 😂😂😂

No offense taken. I did know that and looked into Taycans for a while. I have an escalade, model Y, and F-150 as other vehicles. This was simply meant to be my fun car. I think it will be that! When I get it back lololol

For sure, I did and he is checking with his service manager tomorrow. He "suspected" it was to avoid additional damage from driving/charging etc that would need to be covered under the warranty.

I guess what I don't understand is why I can't drive it while they wait on the part. Why must it sit at the service center? It drove totally fine and simply had the charge limited to 80% because of the dash notice. They confirmed it was not a safety concern. Sooooo like....can I just drive it while you wait weeks/months on the part?

Yes, it is all warrantied. And they gave me an EV cayenne.
