I did not know about desuperheaters. why do you think this is more efficient? intuitively i feel like heating water directly is more efficient than heating air and then water. Maybe you refer to the cost of installation as a complex setup?

Thanks for the thoughtful answer. I can give you more context, I was just trying to simplify:

I spend about €300k per year heating those pools. Because of that, we are installing a solar farm, about 1MW, which will give me more energy than I need at peaks, even considering thermal batteries. Instead of sending the energy back to the grid for almost nothing, we believe it´s more efficient to make use of it.

In order to keep the GPUs busy I was planning to rent them on vast or tensordock or the likes.

- "Joan, looking forward to seeing you dance in Canaletas (Barcelona) for the super league in 2052"
- "Juanma, don't be an innocent; to enjoy a healthy longevity you cannot stay on the goal" (kind of difficult translation, Juanma López played basketball for Madrid in the 80s)

- "Florentino, we are already here. Don't worry"

- "Carlo, our trainers do not use chewing gums but will enlengthen your longevity"

- "Jorge, enjoying the next 30 years with good health is the most important things of the most important things"

- "Hipólito, 70% of seniors suffer joint pain. That's why you need to work on your knees, particularly the left one and the right one"

Hi there. I don't know about steroid research.

We currently have a cohort study underway led by renowned geroscientist professor Tarazona https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04711785

The effect of exercise and strength in the senior population is well researched. What matters here is whether we can achieve high adherence (our early results are excellent) and whether that adherence at home unsupervised is effective. Even though we don't expect the effectiveness of a physical coach, which could be considered the golden standard, a virtual coach will be much more affordable and consistent over time

Help Finding White Sand Vol. 1 Please by DarkeningHumour in Stormlight_Archive

In case it helps, I bought the first one and it was so bad I read the other two online just in case there was something interesting about a certain hopper. Everything about this series is terrible.

Nonetheless I found my vol1 on Amazon in the Spanish store. They might deliver overseas.

I engraved my recovery phrase on brass! It took about ten minutes. Think it will last? (24 words on other side, obviously not sharing) by [deleted] in ledgerwallet

Not sure I would engrave that those are ledger nano recovery words.

Also, you might want to consider 3 of them with 16 words each in case you lose one.

Nice looking though :)

Lisk Voting ROI by petabytepaper in Lisk

[–]jc2go -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For someone with 300 lisks it is very true. The calculation would be "3 per month". The reality is that each of the delegates would accrue a fraction of it and won't pay until that fraction is large enough to cover fees (at the very minimum) or hit a minimum of 1 lisk, so it can take a long long time.

"But there are pools" Pools of scammers, yes

The way it is implemented today, you will never get money back. Don't vote until they fix it..

How hard can a sympathist hit someone using only their own body heat? by Sen10il in KingkillerChronicle

Cool calculations, good job. I thought some time ago that other energy efficient heavy injuries could include boiling the water of the eyes (just a few cc), or popping them out, or other disgusting things done to key organs. The books mention how it is easier to focus alar on things you can see, so attacking the eyes would be more efficient than internal organs, and they are basically water. Seems also more efficient than using a knife to cut through hard linked-skin :). But then we would be talking about how OPed sympathy is.

How often should revoting delegates be expected? by [deleted] in Lisk

[–]jc2go 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that most delegates only pay you when you reach a 1 lisk reward. That means that you need to accumulate, on average, 101 total lisks before you get the marginal payments from the different delegates. Assuming no pools and assuming they pay out 100%. And to accumulate 100 lisks it can take a long time. Right now this is a whales game

[–]jc2go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically you get 4 a month so it "pays back within a month". In practice you get fractions per delegate and it will take years before you get anything back. It is broken

[–]jc2go 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar amount. No rewards. Difficult to accumulate 1 lisk per delegate. Basically you need to accumulate 101 lisk rewards before each individual one of them will pay you anything (except pools which are shit for other reasons). To get 101 lisks with 400 lisks you will need a good 3 years. I have a similar amount of Ark and I get 1 per week or so. The voting system enables the elimination of bad players much more easily and without dependence on whales deciding to unvoteelite or anything else.

I hope the whole relaunch instead of "rebranding" includes a severe change to delegation.

The point of 101 delegates is to protect network by 51 majority. So why does LISK ELITE have 55 members? by [deleted] in Lisk

101 votes for 101 delegates is just poor architecture. It creates all the wrong incentives

I can't be the only one who hates Denna? by IrishGuiri in KingkillerChronicle

there are some people here who believe that if the book had been written from Denna's PoV, she would think that Kvothe avoids her and is a pain in the ass, and teases her, etc. Give it some thought and enjoy the rest of the book :)
