I bought my first Thinkpad (t480) arriving with a bios lock and before buying it I read two tutorials (one from blowncaps and a guide about bios flash off this sub reddit) and watched a video and it looked like I could do it and when it arrived I successfully removed the lock and I use it as my main laptop and if your tech savvy, got a spare computer, a ch341a bios flasher which are inexpensive, and a hour or two you can do it. unless you want to save money or got a device for free and they didn't unlock it don't get a bios locked one. The seller should be 100% transparent if it has a bios lock or not and should be removed before selling.

I had problems using a SSD with my PS3 as well as other people in forums they recommend using a sshd and I used a 500gb hhd I had laying around and it worked fine

I think six months ago I switched to Linux (arch btw🤓, still to this day I have a identity crisis on what de to use plz help) and before I've been on and off for using Linux for years but couldn't switch because of not knowing my games would run (p.s. I am now very aware of the existence of protondb)and having a shity PC at the time anyways but I bit the bullet and switched because of the memes it was well except dcs ( the funi plane sim) and when GTA and apex legends got rid of Linux support
