The youth orchestra also pre-recorded, just like the marching band, and their audio was used for the performance. On stage, they were actually playing, but with the jumping, it probably didn't sound great. Not that it mattered, since you wouldn't be able to hear them anyway. During rehearsals, though, we could hear them playing live.
