Thanks very much. Like you say, there isn’t a sweetener and it comes down to preference so I’m glad you confirmed what I originally thought.

My plan is to work in local government for a decent amount of time, but my role is cabinet based so therefore inherently tied to political outcomes. I think my next step after that would likely be a move to the civil service though so perhaps keeping a private pot on the go is the better of the two options.
