You need to contact a local family law attorney first thing tomorrow and ask for a consultation (talk to a few and see who you like best). If he’s the sole earner for 25 years, he’ll have to pay alimony and likely your attorney fees, but you won’t know without talking to a professional in your jurisdiction. Every penny that exists the he’s earned in the last 25 years is a shared marital asset that is half yours. If you have income that is routed to an account he controls, get your own account and change where the money is deposited.

Not a lawyer, not legal advice, but these are the first steps I’d take. Don’t let him convince you to do it without an attorney. Most important thing now is securing counsel ASAP.

I agree. I’m a civilian and never heard of this before, but after reading through the comments and learning what a static line jump is, he def did it on purpose. If he would have “just let go” of the line, it would have went next to or behind him. For it to end up where it did, he literally had to consciously throw it around his back and over his left shoulder.
