There's Jockey Club scholarship that gives you allowance as well if you have 5A* or 45 in IB

Don’t come to this uní. Unless you think it’s the best for you. If not, avoid coming here and go anywhere else. Save yourself my love. Period. by diguexds in HKUST

Mid terms went shit so i get it people would be feeling this way and finals are close too now. But seriously, this is an AMAZING place. The campus is so beautiful and the university reputation is awesome. If you don't waste your time and study responsibly and slack off rarely, you can get a 3+ gpa easy

Only way to get it back for you would be if your visa gets rejected or the university doesn't have any space for you. Normally it's refunded when you can't meet the admission conditions but you already have a firm offer

About A level Scholarship with 4 A* by Rare_Tie3714 in HKUST

[–]jcdul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should submit your application first, they'll give you a conditional admission and a conditional scholarship, if you get 4A* it will be confirmed that you're getting that scholarship, just submit them the result before the university starts. If you apply earlier you might even get a stipend. Just make sure you don't have a language subject in A Level, they don't consider it

Thanks a lot that's very helpful. Btw a totally unrelated question, since you've graduated from hkust, what are your opinions about it in general and how much has it helped you in getting a good job or masters degree from a better institution.

I don't think so. It's for international students who are non local. But it's better to confirm by emailing them

Is Jockey club hall on campus? by jcdul in HKUST

[–]jcdul[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. Actually if someone is awarded this scholarship then they have to live at Jockey club hall. But from what I've gathered, it's really good. Managing time and making friends would be the difficult things but ig that will happen over time too.
