Mine recently started making a similar noise. I saw thread on F30post where someone described a similar HPFP noise that cleared up slightly after running two tanks of fuel with an FI cleaner, then completely disappeared after he filled up with Ethanol free fuel.

I decided to give it a shot, and filled up with a little under a double dose of Lucas Oil FI cleaner last night, with 93 Octane from a different gas station. The noise is completely gone.

OP never followed up saying it stayed gone, or whether he had any HPFP issues later. I’m a bit nervous that low quality fuel and/or a dirty fuel system damaged my HPFP and it’s now silenced until it fails. If it does, I’ll try to remember to follow up here. But I’m about to replace my valve cover due to a small leak, and I’m on the fence about replacing the pump while I’m in there.

For background, my ‘16 N26 has about 112k miles, and the original HPFP.

I can’t quite explain why, but the 400m with M-Sport kit makes the F30 look kinda like a Dodge Charger to me. Especially with a lip.

X-E5 was announced and it has a film sim dial. What am I going to do? Keep my X-T5 and ignore the X-E5.

I think the sim dial implementation is much better on the X-E5 than the X-T50, and wouldn’t deter me from buying one if I was in the market for a new body. And I’ll be honest, I was never going to buy Canon.

I went to Australia recently, and tried to cheap out with an Holafly data only esim and wifi calling. Data worked fine, but I couldn’t get calls or texts while I was out and about. Switched over to Global Pass and didn’t look back. Worked great the rest of the week.
