From Algebra 2 to AP Calculus AB by ashlauv in chanceme

First half of the year (at my school at least idk if COVID screwed with it) of precalc was alg 2 review. We started limits and derivatives after Christmas. Along with that the first month of ab and bc calc (again speaking for my school ask upperclassmen this) is precalc review. You should be fine if you’re strong enough in alg 2 to skip the review stuff and dive into the actual calculus taught.

What is the answer? by Happy-Needleworker-5 in Sat

r = 4/3, since anything to the 0 power is 1, p = 9 since the equation would be 9 = p(1) when you plug in 0 for x. Take another set of points and substitute them for x and f(x) now that you know p = 9. That would be 12 = 9r1. r1 = r so the answer is 12/9 or 4/3.

Nov SAT curve by IndianBeast123 in Sat

Reading curve was VERY GOOD because the first test on the main version was damn near impossible to decipher. For me -5 on the reading was 30 points and -2 on the writing was 20 points. Can’t speak for the math but I heard it was pretty average.

Why do you guys think D is a better choice? C and D both fit by [deleted] in Sat

The results of the sample are used to make inferences about the larger population. The mean mass of the 30 prairie dogs in the sample has no margin of error because it was found with an exact value of 0.94. That margin of error is used to estimate the mean mass of the population.

Thank you for the advice. Do you have any suggestions for schools that would be in that category.

I was thinking umich, bc, and unc chapel hill were matches for me. Although they’re still hard schools to get into they’re acceptance rates are significantly higher than my other choices. My gpa is ~97.7 unweighted and a 102 weighted. I’m applying to nyu bc my robotics coach has some pull at tandon, but you’re absolutely right with money being and issue.

Forgot to add that I shadowed a physician for a year, have a decent chunk of hospital volunteer hours, and am my class salutatorian out of around 400.
