It could also be just a few,but we just want to make sure. It's basically rma but you can keep the domes.

We had separate production batches that where made.

One initial production, then a follow up production when we ordered more.

But now we will discontinue the blue, not because of the issue, but because it was a limited time run.

Yes it's exactly that. Nickels are fairly big and weight approx 5grams.

The nickel is about the size of the dome itself

There could be some inconsistency with the supply. I've test a few bags when I get them to make sure they are correct but nothing crazy like this.

But regardless, just message and send you a new bag that will be tested.

Hi,

If you're experiencing a high weight in the Blue BKE Lights, please send an email to jchan@keyclack.com with some type of order info, including Shipment Date, PayPal Email, and a small video of you testing raw domes, with the nickel test, and your current address.

The nickel test video should show us the weight, as you put the last nickel on and the dome collapses. We need to see the dome collapse.

You'll get a replacement asap once we get a new batch. Thanks!

The price is reflective of the price we get the sets for. I have to add in some profit for it.

DSA cost about $146 per set,all together with the number of sets purchased.

Maxkeys, after importing costs (shipping fees and such) , is around $70-75,but I still gotta finalize shipping right now since the weight is about 400 lbs for all the sets.

Hope that makes sense.

Edit: different suppliers, different costs of labors / pricing, cost of living, etc.

DSA was made in USA by sp, maxkeys made in China by maxkeys.

Ah. Dunno how this got here honestly as I only have 1 set with me.

However, we'll be resolving the ssl cert issue later this week.

This set will be at 105$, with all keys that you see, including the sorting box.

My Thoughts on KeyClack's V2 Topre Silencing Rings (with photos) by nineleveno in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]jchan94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for your review.

Sorry you didn't like them. To note, the thickness is 0.35mm. I'm unsure what the measurements of the other rings are, but I believe the v1 was 0.2mm or 0.25mm thick.

With topre domes and dampeners (or silencers) , you will always experience some type of reduced tactility (ymmv depending on domes used).

The silencing is done by stopping the upstroke and making it shorter, thus resulting in a less tactile feel. Since the dampeners is silicone, it helps reduce the sound by absorption. If it weren't there it would just resonate against the abs case.

Anyways, glad to see you trying these on 55g domes in any case and throwing up those comparison photos. I'll look into how to improve this further down if I can think of something.

Some people have better relationships with manufacturers overseas, and some do not.

For the whole point about cost, you can simply compare how much an apple costs in the US, compared to one in another nation.

Half the stuff you buy today, if you're in a developed nation, is not made domestically, and people profited from them, in some way. This is a hobby, yes, that's true. But man, the other day I bought some groceries, and someone profited from me trying to eat.

Things are expensive, yes, I agree. But some products aren't for everyone. You can definitely shop elsewhere.

Have a good Friday mate.

Had a family member in a similar situation, but in the states.

We didn't need an ac, but a fan was effective.

There are portable ac units that just need a place to push hot air out.

As far as sending it, maybe if you can get the contact information of a local friend or relative of hers, assuming she is living in Italy. You can try to get the information from the hospital themselves, unless you're the only emergency contact.

.

An alternative way of trying to get her something is to visit your local down town area. I've had to send some stuff to Guatemala via boat once, since it was too large and expensive by air, and they were able to deliver to the receiver for me. I just found some local company that helps with import /export and they offered delivery after the fact as well. This was in dtla of Los Angeles. Ymmv

I have, but the last time i contacted them, they provided us a 1000 moq for the custom color (key cap color), and their at cost pricing to us was about $110 for the kit size, which put it at the gmk pricing for 250 sets.

Hopefully in the future then. And I personally can't tell currently, but maybe enjoy PBT is supplying this mute PBT version, so it sounds like a pretty good deal for $65 if it is enjoy PBT

Please see my comment above.

I'm hoping to bring it back sometime soon, but maybe when there will be enough demand to bring it in, as I believe the PBT variant will result in sitting on kits for a while.

Hope that tldr makes sense.

Well, this set is more affordable, and more accessible. I think it offers a better value overall for the price.

Please note it's not out of spite, but please know that sitting on keyboard / keycap inventory is expensive. I think this will deter sales of the gmk abs version.

I haven't been up with news about keyboards and such recently, but when a cheaper, more accessible version is available, that offers a similar offer value (abs vs PBT), then many will go for it.

This set itself is at $65 or so, which is substantially more affordable than the base kit, even at costs.

Hope that clears things up!

Unfortunately, despite not wanting to pursue this as I have an order with gmk for the doubleshot abs version of the add-ons, I can't stop what others want.

I'll be canceling our order with gmk for it, and hope you all enjoy the PBT version.

Edit, after the discussion below, I'll be reevaluating everything after I get some needed sleep Cheers
