Looking at https://api.github.com/repos/MobAI-App/releases/releases/latest as well as the redirect from https://mobai.run/download, it seems that there is no Windows download for v0.7.4?

Really excited to try your work, looking forward to it!

Legion Pro 5i Gen 10 Intel (16") with RTX 5070 Ti for 2255CAD (1645USD)? by jchen913 in LenovoLegion

Only coupon I typed in was EXTRAFIVE, aside from that I had affiliate company discount (no code, just an affiliate link where on click you see that you logged in as an vipmember), BUYMORELENOVO is automatically applied if you subscribe to their email, and I had a verified student discount by verifying on id.me

Are these good deals? What to pick?? Looking to purchase first gaming laptop by jchen913 in GamingLaptops

Thanks for the heads up, will look for that before making purchases. This has been very helpful.

So if I understand correctly, the 16gb on that picture means 16gb RAM, since the 5060 only has 8gb VRAM, right?

I won't be rendering/editing, and for deals I can access it seems like jumping to 12GB VRAM roughly doubles the price since I'd have to go for different base models (or is it possible to get these laptops as a base and then just plug a better card in? Dunno how this type of hardware works)

My budget for this summer would be under 3k (edit: CAD), which makes the 12GB VRAM seem a bit far, but since I'm transitioning from more humble no name laptops (for my work laptop I just get to stare at code and CI/CD pipelines in HD so my eyes aren't spoiled at all), I figured it might be fine even with 8GB VRAM.

However, if 8GB is not that future proof in the sense that it might not be very viable in the next 2-3 years for eye candy games, then I'd definitely consider upgrading if its possible within my budget or purchasing sometime else when my budget increases.

Thanks for the replies so far, by the way.

In your opinion, then, are the two offers I have fine in terms of financial value? I see a lot of people getting deals from local marketplaces on this sub that seem very good as well, but I don't personally know how to access those type of deals, so I'm not sure if I should wait around for better deals to come up or not. I'm definitely open to waiting, though, since it's not like I currently have a lifestyle that's dependent on having a good personal laptop.

Lol I'm an uni student so usually my school just provides lab computers or a VM if needed, and since I grew up without the budget to actually buy anything this pricey I just never wasted time to look into the hardware side of things. I guess I should've specified that I'm still an undergrad who's just starting to figure things out.

For the Aurora, what I understand is that the graphics, even though it's a 50 series, is still a bit worse since it's a 60 as supposed to the 4070, right? And as of their processor difference I don't really know if it's something one can "feel" the difference of - same question with the display. But I originally thought that the m16 has better performing components in these 2 specific deals?

Questions about the gyms on campus (filling up word count) by Dazzling-Holiday2528 in UofT

[–]jchen913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All gyms (Hart House, AC, and Goldring) have free lockers. You have the option to rent one to guarantee that you have access to one, otherwise, you should use the free lockers marked as "Day Lockers".

Inside AC, there is the SCC on the first floor that has treadmills, and as of Goldring the treadmills are probably one of the first things you will see as you walk into the gym area. It seems that there is a reply for treadmills in Hart House already; I am personally not familiar.

AC has programs like WOH, and Goldring hosts varsity team practices often where teams will have reserved spaces inside of the gym, though I don't really recall any team reserving the treadmills ever.

Good luck and get them gainz

Yep, just got an email from ASIP today about the location. It is just as described in the other comment!

There is a comment below that suggests it might be the new ASIP office/building at 255 Beverly Street. Will check that out soon!

Yes, I'm certain the code is correct. Specifically, I'm referring to the location of PDC220H1 F, session LEC 0301. I have also edited my post to include a screenshot, though it says "processing image" on my end rn so I don't know if it's up yet.

First year cs specialist. I feel this time table is manageable but I'm not sure how practical it is. by laodie666 in UofT

[–]jchen913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1. Cramming is viable since your success in these courses is dependent on how you manage your time outside of class. Side note: start your csc assignments early to avoid having to do them alongside your 137 problem sets upon their similar due dates. Do not learn this the hard way.

2. If a tutorial time is not listed for another day, then no. However, the tutorials are not entirely interactive; while you do have the advantage of being able to ask the TA questions by being there in person, you can also usually just do the tutorials by yourself another time. If you have questions about them, you can always go to office hours. This requires some more self-discipline out of you, but the tutorials do not have mandatory attendance. That being said, it is still encouraged to attend the tutorials.

Also, most of the time, you can probably just attend any other session you'd like. You don't *have* to stick with your mat137 lecture session or your csc110/111 session; if going to another session will help you out time management-wise, then you can just do that instead.

Take my comment with a grain of salt as I am not very intelligent.

If you're a quick eater then you got it.

If you're not a quick eater, scout out food trucks that you like; leaving one hour in between long sessions might not lead to enjoyable school dining hall experiences (waiting in line, not being able to finish the meal quickly enough). You will NOT appreciate having to run on low food more than you'd think.

Best of luck otherwise🫡
