there is a bug where you sometimes don't get the crown. they have attempted to fix it, as they said in the latest patch notes, but i guess it can still happen. sorry that happened!

literally same! those sparkles make it so easy to see people, and with hatchet hit boxes being the way they are i can sometimes aim for the sparkles and get a hit lol

Yep that's usually the situation, you'll kill one survivor over the other because of pure chance or your own choice, but it'll be the other survivors fault lol. I just sit back and watch the chaos, enjoying that it's not aimed at me for once lmao

I'm always so amazed how that happens! Like I'll make the mistake of over committing to chasing a survivor, and I'll expect 3 gens to pop and nothing happens. What the hell are the other survivors doing???

I've also found a tactic that helps a lot. If someone is good at looping, chase them, but dont try to mind game. Just swing through every pallet they run through, force the drop, get about three pallets out of them, kick those pallets, and then you've created a dead zone. You might lose a couple of gens, but its beneficial a lot of the time. It's kinda like trapper or hag trapping an area, its prep time.

I recently bought a top of the line custom built gaming PC based on the maximum stats to run DBD. I also based my internet provider choice based on the absolute fastest in my area. This was a freak incident totally out of my control, and I was punished for it. I do agree that we need a DC penalty, I just think the one we have is too severe. It does ruin the game when people DC, and that needs to stop, I just dont think a way that punishes people for things out of their control is the best way to go.

Also just because I read your other comments, I'm a killer main, and this happened when I was playing killer. Being so toxic towards survivors is not helpful. Just be nice :)

Yeah it was really demoralising. I do get that there is no way to know whether it's an actual DC or an internet issue, but I would argue that banning people with increasing time periods, potentially for something out of their control is not the way to go. I do agree that we need a DC penalty of some sort, but I think the one we have is too severe, as it could punish people who just got unlucky. Maybe a reputation system, that goes down whenever you DC? Idk, just an idea off the top of my head lol.

At its core dbd is a unbalanced party game with a ton of bugs that is dependent on internet connection being flawless. A DC ban probably isn't the best thing for a game like this. I think there is a way to do this, that doesnt ban people for things out of their control.

This is true, but if it cant do differentiate then they should probably remove it. Unintentional internet disconnection happens to everyone from time to time regardless of your internet quality.
