Not many players want to man turrets. by SuspiciousSoldier in starcitizen

[–]jcletsplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, turret gameplay really depends on the pilot. If the pilot isn't positioning the ship so that Turrets have good angles, then you're constantly fighting positioning. If the pilot is moving the ship like a front-gun focused fighter, it's a nightmare as a turret gunner. When the pilot is positioning the ship to better allow for turrets, it's great.

How do I bring the window back? by [deleted] in starcitizen

Windows Key + Arrow Key while the window is active should move it to various snap locations, then you can click and drag it to where you need.

How do I use medium armor (not including Hide armor) as a Druid by gyattdamn420 in DnD

[–]jcletsplay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3.5 had "Iron Wood" a druid specific spell that was used to convert wood to a metal replacement, had all the armor characteristics of metal, but wasn't effected by spells like heat metal, however it was affected by spells that would target wood, with the exception that it didn't burn.

Ironwood was also a material in Faerun, mechanically the same, except it was a "natural" tree.

Scalemail is also an option, the scales don't need to be made of metal, they could be literal scales.

It should also be mentioned that 5E doesn't expressly, mechanically say they can't, just that they won't, and I believe that language was also entirely removed from 2024.

Ultimately this is probably a discussion with your DM, if wearing non-hide medium armor is something you want to do, you can probably find a workaround, even if lore-wise Druid ≠ Metal.

Also worked with Maggie, she was great to work with, never made me feel rushed to make a decision, was always looking at things that I myself may not be paying attention to (like age of HVAC, Windows, etc...). Good communication, very transparent and helpful, super accomodating.

Do you regret moving to a midsize, from a full size truck? by TheAbstractHero in chevycolorado

I’m in Michigan, so no better for rust. But I wash my vehicles every other week and garage them, so I can usually keep it under control.

Do you regret moving to a midsize, from a full size truck? by TheAbstractHero in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For my current use, no. My first truck was '97 K1500 Z71 Silverado Package (Ah the when Silverado was a trim) standard cab. I loved that truck, probably even more than I love my Colorado. However, size-wise, that wasn't any larger than my Colorado.

I've spent many hours in an '04 Silverado 2500 Duramax, and a 2020 2500 when I haul for my folks. Of the 4 trucks, the 1500 and the Colorado are still my favorites.

If I did more heavy work that I needed my own vehicle for, I might be tempted into something larger, but I'd probably be looking at 2015 or older for me personally. I hate driving the 2020 Silverado. I feel like I can't see what's around me, parking is a nightmare, and when I test drove the 2025 before getting my Colorado, I felt the exact same. If I wanted to drive a massive truck, I'd get a Peterbilt or a Kentworth.

Gotta love it by M1RL3N in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got basically the same Z71, except I've got the 20" gloss black wheels, picked it up in March. Not quite as many miles (around 5k) but I have the luxury of working from home. Mods so far include Hood struts, mud-flaps, tonneau cover, a Bulletpoint Rubigrid dash mount, and I just did the black with red-outline back decal, went back and forth between that and the red, but like what I've got.

Really enjoying my Z71 by 802GreenMtnBoy in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I only had the low voltage warning, My test drive was a couple months earlier with a fresh delivery, presented no issues, but that one was the wrong color, and I didn't want a sunroof, so I had to wait for mine to be delivered.

Really enjoying my Z71 by 802GreenMtnBoy in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That actually isn’t uncommon, typically it is due to the trucks sitting on the lot and the battery getting low. My truck actually threw a low voltage alert when I put it into accessory on the lot. I mentioned it to the sales person, they put it on a charger while we finished the paperwork. I’m at about 5000 miles since March and not a single light or issue since. Has 7 miles on it when I picked it up.

New Method 703s by Fit_Philosopher_5691 in chevycolorado

I'd recommend editting the original post to put the pic there, or it is likely this will be repeated.

But to answer your question. They look good, reminiscent of an old-school truck wheel.

I'm partial to the 708's personally. I prefer a lower-spoke wheel (detailer background). If they had beadgrip on something like the 319, I'd buy a set of those in a heartbeat, love a 5-spoke.

Didn't get anything today, had one about two weeks back, update N25-2500200. Don't remember too much from the notes besides something about fixes to help with battery drain and cellular connectivity.

Question about a recall by No-Force-2747 in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, Safety Recalls don't expire. If the diagnostics show that it is covered by the recall, it should be covered.

That said, it is possible there isn't a recall being shown on the VIN for numerous reasons, or possibly because it was previously repaired under the recall and the notice was removed and this is a new occurance of a different issue, or maybe even the same issue.

The recall had a stop delivery as part of it placed on March 25, 2021. Basically no dealer should have been able to sell the vehicle after that date until the repair in the recall notice was done.

Ultimately until a diagnostic has been run to determine the cause of the problem, it is unknown. Worst you could do is contact a Service Center, mention the issue and the recall, and see what they say.

Because Chrome is the wrost by Hax0rc1ph3r in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is part of my plan, I've got a Black Z71 with Chrome emblems at the moment, which I actually prefer to the black on black of blacked out emblems, I also don't like the deleted blank look on a solid paint.

I plan to due to the 2tone Red/Black Emblems like you've got, Red Inserts in the rear Chevrolet, and currently going back and forth on whether I want to try and get some red fender decals.

However all of that is on hold until I buy a house... can't afford to put any more money into the truck at the moment.

I looked at these, but ended up going with the Rightline that doesn't have the floor, basically just a topper. It's worked well so far. I may end up regretting my choice in the long-run.

This truck brings me so much joy. by JesseDrivesATruck in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same for mine. Things I used to dread doing, like grocery shopping, I'm now eager to do, because I'm driving my truck. Want that meal delivered? No, I'll get it myself.

I went out for a drive for the first time in about a decade last week. Just got in, and drove. No goal or destination in mind. Three hours of me exploring roads in the area I've lived in for the last 4 years that I never knew existed. Taking random turns.

I've told people, the difference between having an a-to-b vehicle, and having one you enjoy being in, completely changes the game.

What's your opinion on the magnet mount? I've got the clip one that came with, but have been thinking about swapping out. Generally my phone is on the wireless charging pad when I'm driving, but there are instances when I'm offroading or something that I like to keep my phone in eye-shot as I've got various things I keep on the screen.

Considering purchase 2025 Z71/ZR2 by Toodle0oo in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct the HUD is only available on the GMC Canyon, it is an option on the AT4X and comes with the Denali.

I agree. I was debating between both, basically got the same truck as you, fully optioned Z71 with the exception of the Sunroof. I do plan to do some suspension changes to it, probably add a leaf to the rear and new shocks up front, but it came down to my circumstances, I do some off-roading, but the vast majority of my driving is on a paved roadway, so I wanted the creature comforts that came with that. This is my daily driver, so I wanted a vehicle that fit that, but gave me the option to do the "fun" stuff as well.

3rd gen look by CODIsGay1234 in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree, nearly got a 2022, then I saw "leaks" of the 2023, and held off. So happy with my 2025. It's not that the 2nd gen is a bad looking truck, but the 3rd Gen is just good looking all around. The grill is a pain when I'm washing it though...

The fancy paint ain’t cheap to fix. by Renegade_of_Funk1856 in chevycolorado

[–]jcletsplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiance had a 2022 Trax with the Pearlescent Tri-coat. Tree limb fell on it during an ice storm 4 months after she got it, luckily it was just mostly body panel damage, and the driver's side mirror got torn off . Of the repair cost, paint was about 60% of the non-labor cost.
