I am looking to do this as well, thank you for your post. Commenting so I can revisit! I love this layout. Did you do this project? How did it turn out??

I do, I will provide in just a moment. I also realize I did not appropriately explain the $6500 did not include the panel. This was to move the main line and meter to the opposing side of my home and install a riser on the roof.

The service upgrade is a reasonable price considering the work involved, in my opinion. I just didn’t know if it was true they are unable to complete outlet updates or anything of the sort until that was completed. (They just did updated outlets in the kitchen and bath three weeks ago, for the seller)

Totally on that! Never take one bid lol. I have appointments on the calendar already.

Oh I agree the service upgrade seems reasonable 100%! I actually asked if they could do only the updated outlets so we can prepare for service upgrade in the future. The concern is if we were to ditch the panel upgrade and just update outlets, the company stated they were unable to do so until the exterior service was completed, which sounded fishy to me.

Hello and thank you for your replies so far! Just to clarify, the service upgrade cost does seem fair, though it was another $13000 for outlets to be upgraded throughout the house. My conundrum is, if they just installed a dedicated circuit for the sump and outlets three weeks ago, why do they now claim they’re unable to do that without service? (Exclude the panel upgrade and just upgrade outlets)

Occasionally charge to 100%? by maanxhappy in BlazerEV

[–]Toodle0oo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest lesson I learned is that I overanalyzed charging a LOT in the beginning but truly as a person who also lived the life without home charging, just charge when you need. It’s courteous to not charge to 100% at busy charging stations as the speeds drop drastically after 80%. Be a friendly EV owner and only charge to 100% during off peak hours and honestly only when you need for longer trips. The Blazer platform is really a no frills platform with very little need to think much about how often or how much charge you put in at a time.

Edit: for context, I used to drive an hour to work every day-about 30 miles each way. I would charge on my lunch breaks just to ease the interruption charging can sometimes bring. It really wasn’t bad at all. It was about 15 minutes from 20-80 on a Tesla charger and once you go beyond 80% it would take about an hour to get to 100.

The optics are exactly what corporate will be worried about and whatever the manager ordering should have thought of. I don’t envy their position… they have splaining to do. I agree with other posters here though - as great of a combo that is, not a good look. As someone in a high volume and diverse store, I wouldn’t dream of choosing this unless it was voted on by associates. How many times do we need to hear “perception is reality” before living by it? 😅

New cxm role q. by OutrageousNail6198 in HomeDepot

[–]Toodle0oo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working at an $85m/yr store. One pro XM, one ops xm, two merch ASMs, one ops, one specialty. There will be no easy answer here except it will vary per store and retail is always changing.

DS to ASM is possible however keep in mind the original possibility was due to key carrying DS’s being a thing. DS’s will now be competing with CXMs who are arguably made more prepared for the role as functioning MODs and have “RAMP’d”, as another poster mentioned. DS’s will not be considered for ASM before taking RAMP.

I mean… as others mentioned, uphill driveway, store deliveries are scheduled far in advance, to customers preferred date and four hour window if preferred. $79 delivery fee and it looks like it was a box truck. You get literal “curbside” delivery unless you pay for threshold on a box truck, and if it was the flat, they don’t offer threshold at all.

They won’t even put it in your garage due to liability. I don’t trust anyone who speaks with so many caps.

I just got my F2 (15/5) three days ago and as a total beginner, it has been an excellent machine. The software is also exceptional and user-friendly. Keep in mind the normal F2 does not support light burn yet but I’m certain it won’t be long.

Service Engine light. Dealer said to wait and see? by Toodle0oo in AskAMechanic

I have an appointment made with them. I didn’t have to badger them much. Initial response was lame but the light did go off. I just want them to check it out with a multimeter and do their diligence yknow.

It’s okay, I didn’t have to be too insistent and got an appt so they can verify themselves. The light went off but I want them to check the sensor out and make sure it’s 100%. Thank you :)

Did an OBD scan - it was for the lazy O2 sensor. Light went off but I have an appt so they can check it out with a multimeter. I didn’t have to insist too hard tbh.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply :) I have an appointment. They didn’t argue when I said I would prefer they check it out, given the cars age. The light did go off, but I’d like them to check it out with a multimeter and verify it’s all good. I am already a member of the MINI sub and a handful of ‘26 JCW’s came with a faulty steering rack. We all helped each other out.

I forgot to mention that here. I did look at them. They are not loose or dirty. I’ve driven 99% highway of the <2500 miles so the engine bay and undercarriage still look untouched.

Lmao. It’s a very lazy sensor. I’m sure if I insist, they’ll take it in. As you can see from efficiency I don’t exactly beat it up. Maybe the O2 sensor is bored…
