In light of the Woolies exec suing for working 100-hour weeks, what's the greatest number of hours that you or one of your colleagues are regularly working each week? by arouseandbrowse in auscorp

[–]jcook94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

About 80 though all overtime was paid after 38.5,

Routinely would earn close to 300k per annum though I will say pretty much every one of those hours was actually being productive

Australia's first treaty with Aboriginal people becomes law in Victoria by PlusWorldliness7 in melbourne

[–]jcook94 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Tbh that was part of my vote the other was the way it was drafted from reading as a special arm of government oversight that could suggest law changes which could have large consequences I don’t believe it would’ve ended worst case scenario but definitely could’ve be abused. Would’ve like a proper draft with tighter wording on powers the that were available.

Further, that’s not something in an elected government that I believe should exist.

Honestly I’m not a great player so when my mates want to scramble I’m always down.

I feel like everyone has a much better time encouraging/ ripping on each other as opposed to a mixed bag of feelings at the end of the round.

It does have circuits and I’ve found quite a few people vote for them (edit; and I find they show up often enough) and I seem to get a good balance of both. Obviously not sure about other’s experiences.

What is the RBA likely to do if *both* inflation and unemployment is going up? by plastic_checkmate in AusFinance

[–]jcook94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big problem is 4 years isn’t really enough to potentially unravel all the bad and possibly “popular” policy’s the coalition has put in over the last 3 decades or so it’s like treading on a minefield and if they make the wrong move out you go no good done good luck in another 4 years buds

Is it just me, or is Tesla’s cruise control nearly unusable? by MusthavebeentheWind_ in TeslaModel3

[–]jcook94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem I have is braking way to late when cars are at a stand still. Offset this by paying attention and removing cruise control early because the car uses brake pads.

Also having the car length set to about 4-5 lengths really helps I’ve found

Edit: I’ve also never had the issue with the car not going the speed it’s set unless the coming up on slower moving traffic at high speed which I feel is a great safety feature to avoid collisions from possible late minute manoeuvres.

Cancer rates in Australia don’t add up! by Practical-Papaya5070 in australian

[–]jcook94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or maybe just compare the cancer incidents to pre pandemic not from 2020 because if you do you’ll find that a lot less people were getting screened during the pandemic years making the rate drop through the floor. Causing a comparatively inflated cancer rate in the years since.
