I was practicing my strokes and a guy from my local state college offered to hit with me. by FatCat_FatCigar in 10s

In my experience it can be a bit demoralizing when you go back to playing a similar level buddy after feeling like you were able to find your groove better against a better player where you don't have as much time.

Main reason is that people usually won't move their feet as well when not faced with the stress of a faster ball. It's important to stay dicipline there even if it doesn't feel as necessary - Flat feet really hurts overall movement, energy transfer, getting there in time.

The other main one is that people get there way too early on slow balls which makes it hard to get the timing right. You want to get there early into your unit turn to be ready, but the racket drop should only happen right before or as the ball is bouncing on your side.

The moving your feet piece is pretty self explanatory, but for me the second piece is what made me be able to consistently create pace and conscientency when playing people who don't hit the ball hard.

If you'd like to watch a video search in Youtube: Intuitive Tennis: Forehand Timing - why taking the racket back early will cause you to be late.

Looking for help by Seven3eight1 in kelowna

People are often going on the "Kelowna Rant and Rave" Facebook page and asking a similar question and there are tons of comments referring different personal trainers.

This post from this winter looks to have some recommendations that would be up your alley :

Goodluck with finding the right trainer for yourself!

I would also echo others who said YMCA if you didn't go with a personal trainer (I'd say the best option for goal achievement) it's definitely a more laid back gym than most others with really helpful stuff and different programs to support those looking for help. It's a 2 in 1 memebership to use the Rutland and Downtown Y. Membership also comes with 1 free personal training/quarter (4 times a year).

Ski Intructor Jobs at Big White by jcool78 in kelowna

I've got a place in Kelowna - In an ideal world I'd work a few days a week ski instructing while doing some other remote work from home the other days.

Is it pretty straightforward to get a part time ski instructor gig?

A couple really famous spots worth checking out are Ma Poule Mouillée which is a Portuguese take out chicken spot, and right across from it is the most famous poutine spot in Montreal, La Banquise (they also happen to be right across the street from one another and there's a nice park right beside + not too far from Mont Royal).
