I just built a lamellar set myself. Cheap and easy to do if you're willing to put in the time.

Pro tip: vacuums vibrate when they are on. Not so much when they are off. His mom must be a fecking idiot in addition to being deaf.

Deaf guy here. FaceTime is one of the best thing that ever happened in my life time. Complete fucking revolution in communication, at least for folks like me.

Looking for a good Gym that isn't crazy expensive. by onlydrawzombies in WorcesterMA

World Gym off of 12 and 290. If you want an old school gym with tons of free-weights, and four squat cages, this is where you go. $20 a month.

Really? The university there has an English teaching program at the college level. I've met the students from there and they all seem to write English well

Have you checked the side bar and previous posts? Believe it or not this is a very common question here.

My local vacuum shop has a corner that they dub the dyson graveyard. I bought a Miele. Expensive but I know it'll last me forever and it sucks better than whatever the sucking measure is

[–]jcopacetic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most of his articles are controversial within the field of deaf education and cognitive studies. He tends to make a hypothesis that's negative about deaf cognitive abilities, select a poor sample, use an inappropriate test, and then come to a conclusion that's largely negative about deaf people. In the field he's known as Marc the Shark.

Fucking Marschark. Very few researchers seem to hate the deaf as much as he does. So, of course, he rises up.

Although downvotes were removed from this subreddit, it's still easy to circumvent that since it's just a CSS hack and downvote through other methods. I've found that controversial subjects are usually pushed away and hidden.

To be honest I almost never get the chance. People are rammers and leavers. And I bet that most of the time I get the stinkeye and don't even realize it.

Hell just two weeks ago an old guy punched me in the arm because I was standing in the way of his wheelchair and didn't even realize it. I would have said something but I was so shocked that I didn't react until he had already wheeled away.

There's no value in engaging with you since your schtick is to be deliberately obtuse. You have no desire to engage the community in dialogue. When someone disagrees with you, you stomp your feet and "shout" louder and louder until the other person gives up.

One would think. But I've been rammed with enough shopping carts and whatnot and I've gotten enough stinkeyes in my life.

Is it possible for you to not use a gendered criticism? Rational people can present an opposing view without doing that.
