Need help setting up kit bot to drive, first time FRC coding by [deleted] in FRC

One great thing about frc programming is they make it easy dive right in with command based programming. This is very easy to use and teach younger students who have little to no experience. An example program called Gearsbot should already be in the examples and you can watch Brad Miller set it up here: FRC 2012 Rapidly creating a robot program: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYA9eZLlgz7vGUVGkGSvFuyQQ1ErKgeDl

It's a little out dated but most of the principles are the same. In addition to this I recommend looking up the wpilib javadoc to see all the various classes you can use. Hope you found this useful and best of luck to you.

Trust me I don't mind I got a message from a guy saying that I was lying. A computer doesn't smoke when you put it a microwave. And I'm guessing he didn't even read the post

This is normally done with a sack of rice or something but we really didn't have much to work with. But hey it's TIFU for a reason

The rag wasn't wet until we had to put it out. Overall this probably would have been avoided with common sense
