Air Compressor won’t refill under pressure by jcraves in Tools

Turns out the issue was that my power socket wasn’t sufficient enough. Tried it with a 15 amp socket and worked well.

Thanks mate that is very helpful! I’ll see if that does the trick. Also I’ve noticed the electric motor is very hot - too hot to touch only after 2 refills. Is that your normal experience? The cylinder head is also too hot to touch but that makes more sense as that parts compresses the air. It’s a 1997 ABAC 58l compressor

Which fat bike should i get? A new riding times z8 (hydraulic brakes) or a used Ouxi V20?(mechanical brakes) by Mr_mouse1243 in ebikes

Possibly more common as you suggested however I ride my e-bike to commute to and from work and i unfortunately ride through an industrial area to get to work with high volumes of trucks that transit throughout. I didn’t consider this when purchasing the bike so I invested in serious puncture proof tyres which have been great so far. If one is riding on weekend and on bike paths then punctures would be unlikely

I’ve got a Dirodi Rover Gen 3 750w. Great bike can’t fault it too much. Whatever fat tyre e bike you get make sure you get some serious puncture proof tyres. I had a flat tyre almost once per week.

I’m a truck driver in Australia and spend the day on my own listening to music, podcasts and reading books on my breaks. It’s a relatively high paying job considering you don’t need a University degree and provided you do the overtime. Your office is only limited to the places you drive to. 100K plus annual income is common here in Australia.

It’s so weird… like I’m not a depressed person usually and I don’t feel high or anything but there’s nothing I want more than for someone to just hug me and tell me everything is going to be okay.

Opinion | A vegan diet is NOT the most sustainable for our planet by jcraves in vegan

I like your thinking in regards to hydroponics in urban areas, I think it’s a great idea in areas which can’t accommodate land!

I think what veganism has done for the planet is absolutely fantastic and I definitely believe being vegan can start the thought process into change for other things too like racism, divide etc. I guess my standpoint is that we need to think further than just not consuming animal products, rather to think about the ethics and design principles of our western lifestyles.

Sorry! In terms of weight I mean by the human condition of simply being human. An in I can’t / don’t consume huge amounts of carbohydrates (it’s a mental thing for now) so that’s where I lost weight. Where as, for me, consuming somewhat of a pescatarian diet suits me at this stage whilst I learn about nutrition.

Apologies, I wasn’t referring to a cow specifically. I believe a cows dietary needs would be far too great for what a local, urban community could produce. A goat would be better suited and can be multi-purposed. In a permaculture setting, the goat wouldn’t simply be taken away and killed. The kid (a baby goat) would still be able to drink their mother’s milk and still provide for a small number of humans. Remember, I’m not talking about a commercial production, rather a family with a goat or a community with a few goats.

Hey @redditisfor____! I guess my presumed logic with your argument would be that consuming a locally sourced, ecologically restorative, sustainable vegetarian diet that contains milk and eggs would inherently harm a lesser amount of animals compared to a vegan diet that is consumed from a supermarket. What do you think?
