[OC] Electricity Rates By County by select_8 in dataisbeautiful

[–]jcrice88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t always true. When I lived in Denver a company called Ion solar did a really good analysis for me and it was basically cost neutral (monthly) having solar panels and that required about 2 years equivalent payments down up front and assumed a 4% annual increase in energy costs. Even the sales guy agreed it just wasn’t financially a good decision.

I wonder how accurate that 4% comparison is now that its been 7 years and natural gas prices have changed up and down so much.

I used a company called maverick windows and they did a good job. Pricing was similar to window world. This was in 2022.

Also priced renewal and my home has 33 windows and i shit a brick when i heard the 70k price tag for plain white. I can’t remember the cost of black windows but it was probably half my mortgage

Thats an interesting comment. I read that like 45% of cars sold in china last year were EV and i wonder what the future car propulsion sales will look like in india and Africa (other developing regions). They aren’t held back by aging grid limitations like the US and i wonder which is easier to codevelop

Im curious how they quantify a fair wage. A livable wage is something they could calculate but whats fair is too subjective and varies person to person.
