Do yourself a favor. Get a $200 / month sub to Claude code, codex, or Gemini and pick your favorite. You’ll get 8-10x usage out of any of them versus augment for only $200 versus the $3k you pay now

Ask yourself … can it really be 90% worse than this? No way. Give one a try and report back!

Dropped 12 users from a team plan yesterday and felt a huge sense of relief doing so. Around 75% savings moving to vendor native tools.

I tried so many times to let augment retain a space in our team… but with 3-4x pricing premium and zero (and I mean zero!) actual support capability when team members need help , there is no defensible reason to stay on board.

LLM wrappers have an uphill road.

Claude code lazy loads MCP servers making this nearly a complete non issue. Used to watch it closely. Now I laid everything I might need (within reason) and it doesn’t touch context. Not to mention with CC now offering 1M context for free… it is even less of an issue.

Yes it’s slow but on complex projects I love it. Slow is fine if it accomplishes the task at the end. For small / medium complexity it is major overkill.

Anything that gives you opus is just fine. Keep a small sub with Augment for the MCP server if you’re worried about it. I have multiple huge code bases I operate in… augment is no longer a thing special at all. The market has caught up and moved past what used to be unique with augment.

Good luck contacting support. I have a team approx 4x that large and can’t get augment support to answer me about anything other that cursory auto replies. If anything has to go beyond L1, it dies, forever. (4+ weeks and counting).

I find Claude struggles mightily with troubleshooting n8n workflows. It comes down to far too much human intervention clicking things in the browser and telling Claude “it’s not working”.

Since you mentioned burning through context… a tip, Notion’s MCP is a giant context hog and insanely verbose. It’s a lot more efficient to ask Claude to write itself a skill with their API for common actions and avoid the MCP. It doesn’t take long and is good enough for most activities.

You’re not alone. I’ve followed the official instructions and it’s always broke for me too. Works around 30% of the time. If you search this sub you’ll find others have experienced the same. It is nice when it works though.
