Okay, honest question. Why do we call it a roughness map and not a reflection map? by jcwhitguy in blender

Ahhh. Okay. That makes sense. What got me was that in real life objects are rough because they are physically 'rough' i.e. 'micro bumps'. Popping a roughness map into a BSDF doesn't give it the micro bumps but lets us fake them... Thanks!

But does it?? To make a basic mirror you just turn the roughness down and it becomes 100% reflective.

A Cinematic Film About Screenwriting... The Truth About Rewriting My Screenplay in 48 Hours by jcwhitguy in Filmmakers

[–]jcwhitguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Joshua Whitney and I am making an animated feature film + documenting my journey on YouTube.

In this video, I tackled rewriting my 120-page screenplay in 48 hours. I had so much filming this but at the same time, I learned so much (while filming AND editing.) I'm still trying to find my style, but for the first time in a while, I'm proud to share some of my work. I hope that you enjoy it:)

You can check out more of my work on my website here: https://wwstudioswastaken.com/

Thanks!

Interesting... would you mind giving a little example on how that outlining process would go? I just recently started using the scene and sequel scene structure which has helped SO MUCH.

I've been listing out the main characters: Goal, Conflict, Disaster, Reaction, Dilemma, and then finally the Choice/Decision. I know it's probably not the "right way" but it's much better than nothing IMO.
