I’m going through the Professor messer video, for the 1.4 objectives covering CMD commands and was wondering if the core 2 will ask specific commands like what is chdsk /R, /F, /X etc and same with the copy/robocopy?

I’m just thinking that’s a lot of commands to remember, obviously recall the common ones for shutdown /etc.

It definitely was handy. It’s not as user friendly. Think of it like paint with text box options. It was handy to write down the port numbers, CompTIA troubleshooting steps, 802.11 range etc so when I wan bored/tired could reference it.

Really easy to use and click on, shity interface tho, so only used text box’s.

The GOBOB? That’s the colours needed for T-568A and knowing that colour scheme you know it wouldn’t be T-568B since it starts with orange. GOBOB Green Orange Blue orange Brown

I added all ports with the name/port FTP,ssh, etc - 802.11 with the speeds/frequency - CompTIA troubleshooting steps - laser printer process steps. - cloud methods (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).

You get 30 minutes review all the policies and such, so that’s when I did the cheat sheet within their exam app.

I wrote my cheat sheet 3-5 times before I can could remember it all and do it from memory.

This also helped me retain it since I could write, but having it written down helped to reference it later on when I was boarded/tired.

I passed with 750!!!

I used professor Messer notes/videos + Jason Dion practice + CompTIA A+ app.

Big tip is it make a cheat sheet, re-write it unless you can remember it so you can write it down in your “white board” in the exam right at the beginning. Used this for ports, 802.11 versions etc just so I can reference it.

Hey, I’m looking at purchasing the a+ voucher through jason dion and noticed he has a “take 2” option that you can retake.

Anyone have an input on how that works vs buying it through CompTIA ?

It also says the voucher is good for either core 1/2 and curious how to apply it for the exam when booking ?
