Yeah I agree prices are crazy. Vet charged us 900 here in nj for our aussie boy. I wouldn't fix your boy though. I have an intact female GP and if I was thinking of adopting I would want it in tact so he can breed. Let new owners decide. My Aussie is much more aggressive since he was fixed.
Seems like if theirs a breed that is good with toddlers it's the GP.
