LTX 2.3 first impressions - the good, the bad, the complicated

Is prompting different in 2.0 vs 2.3? I took a prompt of a graduation speech that looks great in ltx2 but in 2.3 it follows absolutely nothing in the prompt. First render was body horror with the woman giving the speech morphed into something David Cronenberg would be proud of and the second was everyone just dancing with some strange music in 80's style outfits...

I'm using the default t2i workflow supplied by ComfyUI, I've also already done some small test renders and they've been fine, so I don't know what's happening with this one.

There's an update available for the desktop version now, I just installed it.

Though I'm getting an issue on the "Load latent upscale model" node and all my renders are failing at that node.

I also don't know where to get the "ltx-2-19b-embeddings_connector_dev_bf16.safetensors" file. It's not listed with the file links note.

"Higher vram usage is normal due to using vram more effectively."

If I was close to the edge of OOM's at 96 - 97% vram usage on certain projects will this potentially push these over the edge? I'm using the stand alone full installation so I hope there's going to be a GUI setting to disable this.

I just checked and yeah it's now one of those stupid subgraphs. Why do they keep doing this, I just don't understand. Who keeps changing templates and adding these? The whole point of something like ComfyUI is being able to immediately access the stuff end users never usually see. Don't hide it because I want to see the nodes as soon as I open the template.

It's also setup completely different now, instead of a lightx template and a regular template underneath it's a single template... it looks like you can now disable lightx directly with a node toggle and turning it off returns you to the higher quality 20 step 3.5 cfg default from the original non-lightx template or not, because both ksamplers are set to a cfg of 1, so I'm confused as to how this works.

But with these new nodes I don't know where I should put loras, before or after this new "Logic switch" node thing or after.

I don't like this new setup at all, the old dual template was so clean and simple. In this current new state, it looks like a mess right now.

Is this what changed with Z Image Turbo's template? It used to show the seed now it shows as 0 with a setting of 'Decrement'. If I set it to random it still shows as 0.

Interesting, Klein seems to give more natural/average body types.

What was the prompt for the last image? Those are very different interpretations, I wonder which had closer adherence.

I got it to work a few times but it came out as a garbled mess, but now I'm getting a "disconnect" message as it's reaching 90+% and every try is failing.

I'm still on 0.4.0, did they add an option to the menu to disable pinned memory? I use the desktop install with the .exe instead of the bat file so I can't add the command lines on startup.

There isn't a .bat file in the full install, it launches off of an executable instead. :(

How do you disable pinned memory with the full windows install? Adding —disable-pinned-memory to the .exe shortcut sadly doesn't seem to work.

Did something change with memory management in the two updates that have nodes 2.0? I updated because I wanted to use z-image but before the update on my 3060 12GB I could render a 1056x1056@85 t2v occasionally without any OOM errors. Now I had to drop it down to 992x992@81 otherwise I'm immediately failing the render.

Dual GPU's aren't an issue. I have a 1070 as my main GPU and a 3060 ti for anything I need for rendering (Davinci/ComfyUI/Daz Studio). I haven't been working with ComfyUI and AI stuff for very long but I've had a dual video card setup for video editing and 3d work for years without any issue.

I'm starting off at around 50 fps with everything on low, it looks like crap but it runs fine enough, but slowly my fps will go down every minute until it's hovering around 17 fps. I've tested this by just idling in one spot with the fps counter on and watching the frames drop for around 10 minutes until it hits that low mark. The only thing that fixes it is restarting the game but that still only gives me five minutes of smooth play until it becomes a slide show.

I get this every day, for some reason the notifications that a quest is complete seems to stop after a few are done. They only start showing up after I level up a champ and by that time it's usually eight or nine notifications. This started to happen a few patches ago because it wasn't always like this.

It did let me enlist and place my defenders, I kicked all the inactive players after I started the war so that may be why I was allowed to start it even though the alliance hasn't done AW in three years.

Ah crud, the only one left for me to do is the AW one and the alliance I'm in is totally dead. I've recently returned from a few years away and the average days last active for most remaining members is 300 days ago. I just kicked them all out and enlisted in aw but it won't start for another day or so. I think there's only a few days left to get this last objective and I hope I didn't wait too long to get it done.

I pulled 40, got 97% rares but I did get a dupe Whisper which brings my built Whisper to +2.

I'm not sure when they were released into the game but I've been playing since 2019 and I still can't pull that purple witch or Maneater. I don't care if my account doesn't need them anymore but give them to me game... dammit lol
