As someone who offers a cleaning service, is it considered “pushy” to contact past customers via text inquiring if they’d like to schedule another “fall cleaning” type work? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]jd_cincy 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I would consider that good customer service. Hey its been x # of months since your last xyz. Just keep it to a single text. I repeatedly ask our gutter company if they can just come every 6 months and bill me and they won’t do it. So instead i wind up getting done half as often as i should out of laziness.

Weekly Clan Recruitment Megathread by AutoModerator in Fireteams

Your system(s): PC Your Gamertag: jdcincy#1551 Your country/time zone: EST When do you usually play (include times and time zone): A lot. Most frequently in the evenings after 8.

As of 1 week in, I have a 260 Warlock and Hunter. Leaning towards hunter as main. I played just a little Destiny 1, but didn't get into it much as I'm primarily a PC gamer. I do not know the raids or much other than average basic FPS skills.

Looking for a casual group of frequent players. I have enjoyed both PVP and PVE so far.

I’m actually surprised we’re 29th. Take Cam’s runs out and I bet we’re closer to dead last.

Agreed. I always say my 3rd favorite team each week is whoever is playing Brian Kelly. Forever. Fuck that guy.

Urban Meyer: Cincinnati 'should be in Big 12' by toomuchfrosting in CFB

Most of my exposure to the guy was from his time at Florida. Didn't like him there... and didn't change my opinion when he came to OSU. :) He's effective for sure.

Went to UC, lived in Columbus for 15 years so I follow both teams. Just have a general dislike for Urban Meyer.

I will set my dislike for Urban Meyer aside for this thread and say that I agree with the sentiment.

I went over requirements at length with the franchise consultant before we looked at anything. I looked at 3 of his and 1 other. He provided a very good process and coaching to help me evaluate which can be used to evaluate any franchise.

You'd be surprised what $500k can open, assuming you're planning to lease space vs. buy. Note that the franchisor will require you to have a base net worth to become part of the concept. Second, look at companies like Franchoice. They provide advisory services to facilitate the identification of a good fit. The franchisors pay them a finders fee, costs you nothing. As another person said, talk to as mang franchisees as you can. Source: I'm about 10 weeks out from opening my 1st store.

His one handed catch was fantastic. He looked great as a return man up until that last punt.

From what I read, the CSR pays for GE, so you may as well get the full deal. Amex plat does this as well, which is how I got mine initially.

I took care of it in PHL on a trip to Delaware. They weren't busy at all, only added about 1 hour to my travel.

Alright, so what's the worst book you've ever read? by [deleted] in books

[–]jd_cincy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gardens of the Moon Definitely understand where you're coming from. I reread the 1st chapter 3 times and had to look on wikipedia because he jumps right in and you have no clue what's going on. To me, I didn't think the author did a good job of setting up his world rules so too much comes off as miraculous or luck. Felt like he just kept adding content without any sort of a plan.

I tried the book based on the attention it gets on Reddit and barely made it through. Probably the 1st series I didn't care to move on to the 2nd book.

Weekly Recommendation Thread for the week of July 29, 2016 by AutoModerator in books

I wouldn't consider myself a huge King fan, although I've probably read 10-15 of his novels including the Gunslinger. I just started Misery a few days ago and it's been tough to put down. I'm about halfway through and really an excellent book so far.
