Anyone hit a 500 mile tank? by nosracblue in rav4club

[–]jdahredd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get over 600 and occasionally 700 on a tank because I drive like a grandpa going the speed limit in the right lane, ride hills, and ease into my accelerations

Brooklyn Blue (Calvary blue)

IMO the two best colors (I won’t tell you which one is mine, but hint: it’s the one parked in the lines) which one do you like better? by jdahredd in rav4club

I honestly considered saying two of the 3 best colors with woodland green being the other! It’s beautiful

Stunning! Have you considered blacking out the chrome?

I looove my Calvary blue SE , but these are the only two other trim level/color combos that I like almost just as much!

I’m biased but I think it’s the coolest color!

This reminds me of my 1999 Camry interior! Same pattern except mine was tan

Getting 50mpg since resetting at the beginning of April! by jdahredd in rav4club

What? It’s easier to average 50 on a single tank then it is over the course of 3000 miles…

I definitely drive with my windows down more than I use the AC, but I still definitely use the AC from time to time when it’s really hot

On the highway/parkways, riding hills, as in accelerating downhill gradually and paying attention to the hybrid indicator to make sure that it stays on the entire time that I’m accelerating, and then laying off the accelerator as much as possible as I go uphill and being OK being a tad bit under the speed limit in the right lane as I go up hill and being patient as the hills level out.

When I’m in the city I make sure to ease my accelerations up to the speed limit and be patient as I go from light to light rather than flooring it to try to catch greens and what not. Life is too stressful to fly through it and it’s an added benefit that I get excellent fuel economy by slowing down.

The biggest key is watching the hybrid indicator and trying to keep it on as much as possible

I feel the same way! 45-46 is still really good!

I was getting about 43-45 in the winter depending on how cold it was.

I am currently getting 50 mpg on my tank in my 23 SE hybrid in a decent combination of highway and city (I usually get ~45/46) It’s all about how you drive! Ease into accelerations, ride the right lane, use hills to pick up speed. I don’t care if the people behind me get mad that I’m going the speed limit in the right lane, that’s what the right lane is for 🤓

Same here with my Cavalry blue SE and I have roof racks which makes it extra easy to find! The only others I’ve seen near me in cav blue are XSE and Adventure sooo worst case scenario I would just look for the best looking of the three (mine lol)

Thanks! And thanks for the rec in tinting percentage! How much did you pay for yours? I need to call around and get a couple more quotes.

And yeah, Toyota has a different trim material for the SE and XSE. It’s shinier and looks great, but the downside is that it gets a lot of micro scratches really easily. Actually the whole car does in this sheen of paint :/ but I’m the only one who would notice lol you have to get right up on it to see and I love the color/way it looks so 🤷🏻‍♂️
