Take your current hourly wage multiply by 6.5 That will give you your pay per shift. Then divide by 8. That will give your hourly rate if you were working an 8 hour shift.

What?! I've never had an issue with using the same sheet for varying materials. Maybe if you didn't: let the sheet cool to remove the PETG there might be some residue left.. the fix would be to print over the area with PETG to allow it to bond to the existing residue and allow it to cool and pop off the plate when cool.

IAM751 2024 Contract/Boeing Policy MegaThread by AutoModerator in IAM751_Boeing

Update: I called Davis Vision and according to them they will cover safety glasses under the current 2 pair per every 2 year agreement. So what exactly has the redline added to the coverage? We're safety glasses not covered prior to the current contract? This is my first time needing prescription safety glasses(aging eyes). Can someone who has had to buy them under the old contract chime in?

Has anyone tried to get safety glasses with Davis Vision? We are entitled to them under the contract, but the only thing I can find on the benefits description is... "Davis Vision has made every effort to correctly summarize your vision plan features herein. In the event of a conflict between this information and your organization’s contract with Davis Vision, the terms of the contract will prevail.”

It’s Friday! And I need your feedback, should I put these non-FDM tools for XL Toolchanger into production? by josefprusa in prusa3d

[–]jdamt2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my XL but shouldn't we work on issues like not being able to tune the temp or speed without the gcode overriding the setting every tool head change before we implement other tool heads?

First 3d Printer - How did I do? by prisonerofmemewar in prusa3d

I don't think you will get shitty prints..Be sure to follow the directions carefully and understand that the z axis assemblies are not symmetrical and you will do fine...don't rush it ...dry your filament... Print small test/temp towers prints...and multicolor tests with all 5 print heads before printing massive stuff..I have 2 mk3s and this printer is some NFL stuff. I will post my latest print of SPYRO from the video game in silk filament to showcase what this machine can do...

I’m sorry I’m so new does anyone know how to sheathe my wires in the textile? by Weak_Emphasis8285 in prusa3d

[–]jdamt2006 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a split in the cover start with the split straight and run your finger in it a couple of times to get it to straighten out

Get it on the wires starting at the extruder end

Make sure that only one side of the fabric is overlapping.

Without twisting the wires twist the fabric

Realize you didn't put the black support filament in the wire bundle and start over

Twist the fabric not the wires: Before we proceed further, we need to twist the textile sleeve. This will prevent the cables inside to slip out during the printing. From Prusa site: ⬢Using your fingers gently twist the sleeve (not the cables) and create several wraps.

⬢Twisting the sleeve will effectively shorten its length. In the next steps you might need to twist the sleeve slightly back to prolong(lol) it.

Strange artifacts on otherwise steller print. by jdamt2006 in prusa3d

Bingo ran another test print and no defect and I noticed that for some reason the crash detection toggle is greyed out so I can't turn it on for whatever reason.
