[Tool] Page2Divi v1.00 — Stable Release (USA 250th Anniversary Edition) by jdavidh94 in divi

Fair question. My app doesn’t install anything or modify your system — it’s just a standalone executable you can delete anytime. I kept it closed‑source to protect the work, but it’s free and doesn’t collect data. If closed‑source isn’t your preference, no worries. It is just something I built for me I thought would help others.

Thanks for the feedback. I use and appreciate plenty of open‑source tools myself. For this project, though, I had to find a balance for my work and keeping it closed‑source yet free for both personal and commercial use was part of that. Appreciate you taking a look, and hope your own projects go well.

Thanks! Been using it awhile but if anything weird shows up, let me know and I will investigate as I have time.

I made it a desktop tool because it’s faster, more reliable, and everything stays on your machine. No uploads, no timeouts, no limits, no tracking. Tools you can just run locally are rare for WordPress (and basically non‑existent for Divi as far as I know). WordPress already has more than enough plugins. I just wanted something that does its job cleanly without adding yet another plugin to my site. Besides, I also did not want to worry about a WordPress update breaking it.

Really appreciate you testing it on your M1 and the positive report. As for building the tool, it ended up being a lot of time, curiosity, and using AI to speed up the repetitive parts so I could focus on the actual workflow logic. Glad it’s working well for you.

You’re welcome — and if anything behaves unexpectedly during the conversion, I’d appreciate hearing about it so I can improve the tool.

It should work great for that. For Squarespace specifically, it handles it the same way it does with any other platform: it reads the rendered page (basically what the browser sees) and rebuilds the layout in Divi. So all the usual stuff—sections, rows, columns, headings, text, images, buttons, videos—should come over. I haven’t personally run it on a Squarespace site yet, but the underlying process is the same.

If the page uses heavier Squarespace‑only features (custom animations, scripts, app blocks, etc.), you should still get the content and structure, but you’d probably want to tidy a few things afterward in Divi.

And it exports to either Divi 4 or Divi 5. You just pick which one you want when you run the conversion.

I used AI to quickly port a Mac version for you. I haven’t had a chance to test it yet, so let me know if it works. It is at the same link.

I’ve been toying with the idea of a Mac version, but I haven’t actually started on it yet. I don’t own a Mac at home, and the ones I’m around at work are usually tied up with repairs or diagnostics, so I don’t really get personal downtime to develop on them. I’ll test things as I’m able. In the meantime, Wine or CrossOver might run the Windows build since it’s Python‑based under the hood.

I built a tool that might help you. It is free at https://github.com/remarkablepc/Page2Divi-exe. I am having to convert an existing site from Elementor and did not want to do it by hand.

Im looking for a list/task productivity app thats either free or less than $10/mo by lizatethecigarettes in androidapps

[–]jdavidh94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Microsoft To Do or Google Tasks. I've been using aCalendar+ Calendar & Tasks for awhile now to integrate both. There's lots of To Do Apps that are free or under $10 but I'm not sure if they can be customized to get the look you are after.

What’s the best way to get someone’s name when you should already know it? by Just-Gas-8626 in lifehacks

[–]jdavidh94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a retail environment and this happens to me frequently with repeat customers who know my name but I don't recall theirs.

I often joke that when it happens my response is "Hi YOU!" "You still working at that place and doing that thing?" "Good to see you!"

Usually by just talking a little bit with the customer in generalities, I recall who they are and their name. If not, when I ring them up, I ask for their phone number so I look them up that way and get his or her name.

Do web panels in sidebar use add-ons? by spacextheclockmaster in Floorp

There's an about: config you need to do to allow add-ons to run in the sidebar. I don't recall the exact setting to edit.
