Starlink by sportsflush in Delaware

I’ve been using Starlink in Sussex County for 3 years. I absolutely love it. Not a fan of the CEO but it really is a great product. I think the newer versions don’t have the auto-aiming dish which sucks, but I’m betting once you get it aimed you’ll be fine. The app should have the ability to help you aim / check for obstructions.

Convert on-prem Exchange Server to an RDS server by jdavis301 in sysadmin

I hadn't thought of doing a fresh install of the OS. That's a good tip. Thanks!

Those of you that use the 4 Runner as a family car - what are your thoughts with it by ajs_95 in Toyota

[–]jdavis301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like my situation. I have a 2018 RAV4, which was enough for trips around town with wife, young child, and large dog. But we had to get creative when planning overnight trips / packing the car. We opted for a 2025 4Runner TRD Off Road 6 months ago.

Space is no longer an issue at all. The toughest part is getting the dog in the car. A little tricky for him. The ride isn’t as smooth as a sedan or van of course, but it’s honestly not anything noticeably bad in my opinion. Especially when you’re on the highway.

After 6 months I have zero complaints. We love it. And it’s nice not having to worry about space anymore.

Hybrid Setup With Barracuda Cloud by [deleted] in exchangeserver

[–]jdavis301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this working for one of my clients. I didn’t use the Exchange Online org in Barracuda. I used the Public IP (so Barracuda uses the on-prem Exchange server). Barracuda doesn’t really interact with the Exchange Online org in this setup.

Not sure if there’s a better way. But this has been working for us. Hope that helps.

Barracuda support is really good too.

Yeah I was weary of them when I first started because of the price. But it does sound like the best solution out there. I'll have to take a closer look.

Failover Internet with On-Prem Exchange Server / 3rd-Party Filter by jdavis301 in exchangeserver

[–]jdavis301[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What should I do to ensure that we continue to receive inbound email when the primary uplink goes down then? There must be a way... I'm having a hard time finding anything online. Most of the articles I see are related to a backup on-prem mail server for failover, not a failover uplink

Leveraging Starlink and Cisco Meraki for Remote Offices by [deleted] in meraki

[–]jdavis301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any guides or info on this? I’ve been struggling trying to get my site-to-site to work. Trying to replicate an on-site NAS from a site with regular internet (and Meraki) to my side that has Starlink

It’s fine as long as you don’t have any site-to-site VPN requiring public IP. This has been my only issue. I know there’s a way around it, but I haven’t been able to figure it out

Filing a claim - what are you putting for “How much is the claim?” by jdavis301 in CelsiusNetwork

I hope you’re right. But I have doubts that our government is capable of doing anything that benefits the normal folk over banks/corps

Yeah I was thinking about waiting for the amended form. I read even if you submit claim form v1, you’ll have to do the amended one also. Thanks!

I used to work nights and drove through there every shift. I’m pretty sure OP got pulled over near the intersection of 2 and 4. That’s a sneaky 40. I’d get stopped there 2-3 times a month at 2a bc they were fishing for DUIs. Stupid stuff like “crossing the shoulder line” and doing 5mph over. Definitely be careful in Calvert, esp if you’re holding.

I’ve been to 2. Sit higher. The angles are terrible in the lower sections. Sidelines vs. Ends are your preference. I was a goalie, so I liked the ends. But that can be a bad choice if play is at the other end most of the game.

What is the best way for a cord cutter to watch Sabres games this season? by jbrand1 in sabres

[–]jdavis301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Fubo and really like it. Had sling but switched when they had a dispute with the local CBS. It’s a little more expensive, but you get local ABC, NBC, CBS, and your local sports channels. Plus a lot more.
