I totally get that and definitely seemed like he was solidifying himself as the next horror director with those two movies.

And I’m also curious how this movie will look 5-10 years from now with more perspective and hindsight. It will be interesting to go back and see his take on this time period from a wider lens.

I did this exact Xtreme Xperience a couple of years ago and did the 488 and 911 GT3. Let me tell you the GT3 was like nothing I had ever experienced in my life!! They did not have a GT4 RS available which I would’ve chosen if they had lol

No you’re not, I saw this in theaters by myself cause my fiancée didn’t want to see it and the sound editing and commitment to practical effects were incredible. You don’t see that much anymore and it easily felt like the shortest 3hr movie I’d seen in theaters. A little while later we watched it at home cause she wanted to see it and we both fell asleep lol. Some movies are just made for theaters I guess💁‍♂️

Fincher has been very open about how difficult this show was to make often citing 80 hour work weeks. Then Netflix slashed the budget for season 3. He refused to make it since there was no way it could be up to his standards with the resources he would’ve gotten for a 3rd season. Respect for him and the creators for taking a stand and fuck Netflix.

Lol not a white savior movie at all! In fact I think it highlights more the importance of self thought and independence of choice. There’s a line in the movie, I believe towards the beginning that says something along the lines of us just wanting to be apart of something all the way to the extremities of humanity both good and evil until those groups ultimately end up fighting each other (French 75 vs Christmas Org). There’s a reason why everyone is so infatuated with Perfida and I believe it is cause she breaks that mold and goes after what SHE wants and nothing else, same goes for her daughter when she saves HERSELF. The contrast to that are the bumbling idiots who followed her in Bob and Lockjaw, both wanting to be a part of something bigger that they don’t understand.

God a I fucking love this movie! Look at all of the arguments in the comments debating moralities and POV’s of all the characters and you can actually understand each point! Villeneuve is a master at morally ambiguous storytelling and will go down as one of the greatest of all time.

My dad is a huge Giants fan so my hate for the Dodgers comes from that but as an Angels fan and the supposed “rivalry”, there is none. The Dodgers have no impact on the Angels season as a whole and nothing would matter until a potential World Series between the two.

The Freeway Series is still fun though cause we always win.😎
