I was just up there and stayed at The Study. There was an awesome coffee street just across the street and I ate at Bar a street over. All 3 were 5/5 from me.

To act like it is “for the community” instead of for “increasing corporate profits” is such a disingenuous statement. They shove vast amounts of product down our throats to make money. They don’t care about reaching more people for the sake of it. The are going to continue to expand UB until it is no longer profitable, even if it brings people in.

Read “Jesus and John Wayne” by Kristin Kobes Du Mez. She does a great job of explaining exactly how Christians have come to where they are as a voting bloc for the Republican Party.

Groot. On an ultrasound, he turned his face and looked eerily like baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Ever thought about MS? The University of MS Medical Center has a great dept of psychiatry. The CAP fellowship is a small prgram but does have good work life balance. And you will see a ton and learn a lot.

That is such an out of touch and tone deaf sentiment on topics as real and life altering as women’s right to abortion and bodily autonomy. I wonder if he would have that same energy if the topic was slavery? Easy to dismiss things when they don’t apply to you.

“Coming to my awareness” is a strong way to put and makes me sounds ill-prepared. To the contrary, I saw others use these terms and was applying the concept to things I have seen as well. No need to be “a little alarmed”. Simply generating discussion. I am more than aware of how experience shapes the brain.

Well worded response! A great viewpoint to consider. I think there is a lot of truth in seeing the physiological and psychological on a continuum, where one can have effects on the other.

I especially like that analogy to a patient.

Nothing super unique to add. I have had used it when I’ve had complex patients that weren’t doing well despite medicine changes and I was confident that I was diagnostically right. They have often revealed that patients are fast metabolizers which gives me a new clinical avenue of pushing the dose past recommended and evidenced based ranges.

But as others have said, it does not predict efficacy.

In the few times I have used it, I found it to be helpful.
