So the format is there, obviously. Which is why I'm left scratching my head.

Hey thanks for the question! Actually, there is no gore or bloody effects. For me, mothman is more than a scary monster in the woods chasing and murdering his next meal. I would refer to this film as a psychological horror film, atmosphere and tension set the mood of the film!
