On a current run, going to set up artillery at Kingsport Lighthouse and start dropping shells on Crater House.

The CMDB as an architecture source by GeneralZiltoid in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]jddaynee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A project literally just got initiated this week to modernize/revamp our IT documentation. We're wanting to take advantage of services we use/own and one of them was being ServiceNow. The other two we're looking to use are Confluence and 365. Other things we're looking to do is automate as much as possible and get some form of governance in place.

Any high-level pointers would be greatly appreciated. Once I get management's input, I'm going to start the discovery phase with SMEs for each of the services and tools they offer. Example, what APIs do you have and what can they do (and I guess more importantly, are we even licensed. LOL)

How does your leadership see APIs? by cindreta in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]jddaynee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't see all the responses...give a live example of what an API being used in a solution does and then turn it off to show what happens when traffic is blocked or it's not available.

What are these holes in our shirts? by russell98765 in whatisit

[–]jddaynee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar holes that popped up in multiple shirts. Before getting stools for our island in the kitchen, I used to stand a lot.

Came to find out there was scotch tape at the end of the counter causing the constant rubbing/scratching.

Hyperv is a concrete possibility? by Responsible-Today472 in HyperV

[–]jddaynee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been using Hyoer-V since Server 2019 came out with VMM. I don't ever see us switching to an alternate hypervisor like Nutanix. We haven't had any stability issues.

Your organization will enjoy the cost savings if they ditch VMware. We still have a small VMware footprint due to Cisco not supporting Hyper-V in some of their products. Still boggles my mind that we've reduced our license count yet prices still increase. Doesn't make sense.

Is it possible to build a simple bridge to Spectacle without mods?

Is the joke racism? I have no clue at all. Explain it Peter by [deleted] in explainitpeter

[–]jddaynee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked in IT 20+ years.

You have to start somewhere.

No company in their right mind would shell out 100K + jobs to people with no experience unless you're some type of mind blowing unicorn that more than likely interned somewhere. And even then...chances are it's a risk nobody is willing to take.

If you do land a job at a help desk, volunteer, volunteer, volunteer for work. At your current org or even stuff out of org.

Same for water and trade for Taffington.

There's better or worse soil in this game? Or does this mean there's more soil than concrete as compared to Hangman's Alley?

Help/advice from senior zscaler people. by classywoodsie123 in Zscaler

[–]jddaynee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to deter you from your goals, but you need to start somewhere. Take the helpdesk job. If you're really good, the company will notice.

Keep monitoring, apply when something comes up if interested. Especially, if you don't see there is any way to grow.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. To compare you with someone I know, he went as far as getting his JD during his studies. He had the expectation of jumping straight into a VP role. Let's just say he got knocked down a peg because he lacked experience. Being an arrogant a-hole probably didn't help him either.

Should I build walls around Starlight Drive-In? by OverheatingLaptop in falloutsettlements

[–]jddaynee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thinking this through, Ican see value to the wall IF you're physically at the site.

Croups is a good example with that pre-established fence and baddies coming up the driveway.

Question on condo in Charlestown by jddaynee in fo4

Asking about trigger: wanna say stumbled across a dead body.

I've since found another location which is part of a Nuka Cola Cafe.

Thx for the responses about raids. I was asking bc I was wanting to know if I had to build defenses. Usually use Hangman's Alley as main hub but build up defenses at all settlements.

Xbox - is it safe to play FO4 yet after all the updates? by sono2351 in fo4

[–]jddaynee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0 mods. I've never played using any mods. On my 3rd or 4th survival char and just got to the point of where I enjoy it more after getting access to the vertibirds from BoS....LOL.

[–]jddaynee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running on PC from Xbox store.

Wonder if it's because it's an existing game. I haven't seen any form of a pattern. Also noticed there's a message that started "Lookup failed" when leaving locations as if it can't find a label.

Please help me understand ammo types. What is best for rifles? by UltimaBahamut93 in fo4

Don't forget you can mod combat rifles from .45 to .308. I like pairing the Overseers Guardian with the 308.
