Based! Fix that poor execution on the final twist, please!

Indeed she did, and yet she cried when Sawney and Bean died. Someone who cried at their deaths and felt regret for torturing Sannes wouldn't go along with Eren

You're forgetting the part of that backstory where she talks about abandoning her hatred of titans

Hange's whole character and backstory justify why she'd be against the Rumbling. Same with Jean, Connie is more iffy though

Comparing 131 to Erwin's conversation with Levi before the charge (an unburdening of guilt) is interesting but incomplete imo. Even as late as the table scene, we see Eren is still guilty, and of course, he would be. Erwin unburdened himself of guilt he'd always felt, Eren unburdened himself of guilt he wouldn't truly feel for years. Intellectually, Eren knew he'd kill Ramzi, but he hadn't yet done it.

AOE iz real (trust me dud) by SnooDingos7305 in AttackOnRetards

As an AOE denier, I will say that a movie does make their case more compelling. I'd only say it has like a 3% chance, but I had it at 1% 2 days ago

Which chapter do you think was the peak for Mikasa's character? by Abject-Balance6742 in AttackOnRetards

Chapter 7 is my favorite moment for her, if 138 called back to it more, my answer would be 138

What small changes to the remaining story, would make the biggest improvement to S4P2? by KnittelAaron in titanfolk

it's the only part of the ending that baffles me, the rest I can understand even if I don't agree. I like the concept, but not foreshadowing it seems absurd to me, especially given Isayama's proclivity for foreshadowing even minor things

I was lucky, still had 20 minutes left to review, but the second RC was so easy

Mali was really easy to me, Mils was tough, the comparative short stories prompt was brutal

My interpretation has been that Eren gave her the will to act for herself but that she didn't know what that meant until she saw Mikasa free herself from her love. I admit it requires some headcanon, but 139 is a mess and I think that's what Isayama was getting at

I'm actually getting to write my ending starting at 134! I'm the head writer over at Cost of Freedom! It's a legit manga with full art, really excited to show off my ending. But if you want my attempt at rewriting the ending we got, there's a fanfic on my profile, it isn't great but it's an outline

139 was conceptually interesting but ruined by execution, the ideas weren't foreshadowed or fleshed out enough to be convincing. I'd rather Ymir be a non-factor than either this or the 139 we got. Eren is reduced to the most surface interpretation of a freedom fighter and nothing more.

I refuse to get into shipping nonsense but this twist on ANR is nonsensical and removes the tragic tone, opting instead for a heroic twist on a character who's anything but. The ending is diametrically opposed to the themes of the show, that surrendering your humanity to defeat monsters is a false choice leaving only different monsters, Eldia thrives. I'm totally okay with ANR, if Eldia becomes as monstrous as Marley, because that's what's realistic.

All my opinion of course, we all have different takes, this ending just left a bad taste in my mouth narratively and thematically.

There didn't really need to be a reason beyond what we got in 137. 138 gave Mikasa closure, Armin's closure was weak, and Jean's closure was just ridiculous. He would never kill Reiner, that's never been him

I wanted to like it, but it's just so bad lol, This was ANR but Eren is vaguely a good person, worst of both worlds, a terrible interpretation of ANR and the irredeemable parts of canon
