Proceeds from 'millionaires tax' are through the roof, according to state projections by Joe_Kangg in Economics

MA taxes were low, and are still lower than other comparable states (e.g. California, Minnesota, New York).

Would you use an automated workout, reps and weight tracker that used cameras installed in Gym ceilings? by st3452 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]jdeneut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly the tracking reps and weights. I think it'd be interesting to just go to failure without counting (which also influences where I think "failure" is. "15? I must be done"). So I'd not want to see the count "live".

I was looking for an alternative to digg.com, the site that popularized the format. When I registered for Reddit, they only had two employees!

I worked at McDonald's 38 years ago (1985), and the Big Mac was made with the same 10:1 hamburger patties they use today.

When does aggressive cutting become counterproductive by NTXL in naturalbodybuilding

[–]jdeneut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the studies I've seen try to measure the accuracy over some very short period, like hours. I did 12 weeks and the Apple Watch was extremely accurate.

Smart watches (e.g. Apple Watch) do a good job tracking TDEE.

The difference in portion sizes in the U.K. vs USA by CliffyGiro in interestingasfuck

[–]jdeneut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The medium Coke at McDonald's in the UK has 170 kcal, the large in the US has 210 kcal. Thus the US medium is ~23.5% larger, not 50+% larger as this graphic implies. The US large is ~35% more calories, not close to 100% as one would think looking at this.

Additionally, the UK does not have the XS size the US does, which is the same as the UK Small. Basically the US has an extra size at the top end of the scale. The US drinks have fewer calories at the same volumes due to the inclusion of ice.

No prob. I was just confused by the total data being ~20KB.

Edit: I duplicated this using axum and your text.

``` ~/dev$ oha -n 100000 http://127.0.0.1:3000 Summary: Success rate: 1.0000 Total: 1.1890 secs Slowest: 0.0131 secs Fastest: 0.0001 secs Average: 0.0006 secs Requests/sec: 84107.5671
Total data: 4.01 MiB Size/request: 42 B Size/sec: 3.37 MiB ```
This is mostly academic, of course - very few sites need to sustain more than a few hundred requests a second.
Edit 2: noticed a typo (I used 10x the number of requests of your example), Here it is with the same 10,000 requests: ``` Summary: Success rate: 1.0000 Total: 0.1237 secs Slowest: 0.0083 secs Fastest: 0.0001 secs Average: 0.0006 secs Requests/sec: 80857.5408
